Unfortunately Headlice are a fact of life in all schools, particularly at this time of year. We have been notified of a few current cases in the school and would appreciate if you check your child (rens) head TODAY and treat accordingly please if applicable. We rely on the vigilance of parents to ensure outbreaks are kept to a minimum, but and need ALL parents to carry out intermittent checks and please advise the school office if necessary, otherwise the problem will continue unabated. Congratulations to all the children who took part in the Cross Country Connaught finals in Kiltoom, Roscommon at the weekend – to the Junior girls (Aoife, Tilly, Keelyn, Saorla, Molly & Anna), the Senior girls (Tara, Ceoilín, Penny, Stephanie & Aimee) and the Junior Boys (Conor, Tom, Rónán, Dara, Patrick & Allan) Maith sibh! A special thanks to all the parents who travelled and helped out on the day.

A number of jumpers, tracksuit tops, coats etc. which have not been claimed will be displayed in the hall inside the front door today (Wednesday) and on Thursday. PLEASE have a look when you come in for your P/T meeting, and feel free to take anything which may fit your child. After Thursday, these items will be sent for recycling as we no longer have room to store them. Also, a reminder to put NAMES on your children’s school items, and check on occasion that pen markings haven’t washed off. If you are interested in purchasing the Folens Christmas Annual this year, please send money (€4) into the school before Friday 24th November, to facilitate orders, and put “FOLENS” on the envelope please. NB: No orders will be taken after this date! Annuals will be distributed from Monday 18th December.

- Laethanta Saoire/Holidays: Beidh an scoil ag dúnadh ar an Aoine 22ú ag 12:00 agus osclóidh sí arís ar an Luan 8ú Eanáir 2018 ag 8:50r.n./School will close on Friday 22nd December at 12 noon and will re-open on Monday 8th January 2018 at 8.50am.
