Congratulations to Rang 2 who made their First Holy Communion on Sunday. A big thank you to:

• the parents, who helped the children prepare for the day, especially the committee of the ‘Do This in Memory of Me’ programme.
• Múinteoir Gráinne and the choir & musicians, you were all excellent.
• Muireann, Síle and all school staff
• Cairde, especially Julie and the parents who organised the party after the mass and helped out. Also anyone who left food in for the party. The parents & children from R2 thank you all sincerely for a wonderful party.

Every year, we encourage the children from the Communion and Confirmation classes to make a donation to North West Hospice (R6) and “St. John’s Hospital Comfort Patient Fund” (R2). The children themselves decided this year that is the charity they would like to donate to! Donations will be accepted from R2 up to Friday 26th May. Three children will then be picked from a hat to visit St John’s hospital with the total donation. Míle Buíochas!

Beidh leath lá ar an Aoine 2ú Meitheamh (Cruinniú Foirne) agus an scoil dúnta ar an Luan 5 Meitheamh (Saoire Poiblí) NB: Beidh an scoil ag dúnadh ag 12.00 ar an Mháirt 27 Meitheamh dona laethanta saoire. Beidh an dáta athoscailte socraithe go luath.
The school will be closed at 12pm on Friday 2nd June for a staff meeting and for the Public Holiday on Monday 5th June. NB: School will close for Summer Holidays at 12pm on Tuesday 27th June. Opening day for the new school year will be decided soon and communicated.
EOLAÍOCHT NA MARA/MARINE BIOLOGY TALK:
Beidh fear ag teacht linn ar an AOINE seo 26ú Bealtaine chun caint do na pháistí ó R2 go R6 faoi eolaíocht na mara. Is gá €2 don páiste a thabhairt isteach ar an lá le bhur dtoil.
A marine biologist will be coming to the school this FRIDAY 26th May to speak to the children from R2 to R6 on marine life and science. Each child from these classes is asked to bring in €2 for this very informative talk.
