Buíochas speisialta do Shane Mullane a thug cúnamh le hiompar ar an lá. Maith sibh!
Congratulations to all the children who took part in the parade. We won first prize again for the best primary school! Many thanks to Bríd, Síle, Gráinne and Liz as well as the large number of parents who helped out on the day; thanks especially to Bríd who designed the fantastic banners, props etc. Thanks also to Shane Mullane who provided transport on the day. Well done!
SEACHTAIN na GAEILGE

The children have had a busy few weeks with extra activities for Seachtain na Gaeilge; many thanks to the staff, in particular to Múinteoir Samantha for organising and co-ordinating all.
CAIRDE – BOSTON TEA PARTY
Comghairdeas agus míle buíochas le gach duine a bhí páirteach agus an ‘Boston Tea Party’ a eagrú ag an deireadh seachtaine, agus leo siúd a bhí ann, a cheannaigh ticéid don chrannchur nó a thug síntúis. Míle buíochas don Choiste eagrúcháin don éacht oibre a rinne siad in achar ghearr. Beidh tuilleadh faoin oíche ó CAIRDE ar ball. Féach thíos na buaiteoirí ón gCrannchur.
Congratulations and thanks to everyone involved in organising the Boston Tea Party at the weekend, and to all those who attended, bought raffle tickets or made a donation. Many thanks to the organising Committee for huge amount of work they did in such a short space of time. There will be further information from CAIRDE later. NB Laethanta Dúnta/School Closure Dates:
Dúnfaidh an scoil i gcóir laethanta saoire na Cásca ar an Aoine seo chugainn, 23ú Márta ag 12:00 i.n. agus osclóidh sí arís ar an Luan 9ú Aibreáin. Dúnfaidh an scoil ón Luan 7ú Bealtaine go dtí an Aoine 11ú i gcóir Saoire Poiblí agus lár téarma. Tá a fhios ag na tiománaithe bus faoina socraithe seo.
School will close for Easter holidays next Friday 23rd March at 12:00 noon and will re-open on Monday 9th April at 8:50am. The school will be closed from Monday 7th May to Friday 11th May 2018, inclusive, for bank holiday and Mid-Term as per calendar. Bus drivers are aware of the arrangements.
Céad Faoistin Rang 2/ First Confession R2
Beidh an chéad faoistin ar siúl san Ardeaglais ar an Déardaoin seo, 22ú Márta ag 7.00i.n.
First Confession for Rang 2 will take place in the Cathedral this Thursday 22nd March at 7pm.
Fleadh CHEOIL-comhrá GAEILGE
Beidh Fleadh Cheoil Shligigh ar siúl i Mí an Mheithimh. Ba mhór againn go nglacfadh páistí ón scoil páirt sa chomórtas Chomhrá Gaeilge. Má tá suim agaibh, seol €3 mar tháille iontrála chun na scoile (faoi 9,11,13 ar an 1ú Eanáir 2018) leis an bhfoirm (ar fáil ón Oifig) faoin Déardaoin seo, 22 Márta. Ullmhófar na páistí a chláraíonn. Beidh Fleadh Shligigh ar siúil i mbaile Shligigh ón 2-3/6.
The Sligo County Fleadh Cheoil will take place in June. We would be delighted if some of the children from the school were to take part in the Comhrá Gaeilge competition. If you are interested in your child taking part, please send in the entry form (extra available from office) with €3 in an envelope by next THURSDAY March 22nd. The children will be prepared in school for the event (u-9, U-11 and U-13 on January 1st 2018). First event (Sligo Fleadh) in Sligo town from Sat. 2nd to Sun 3rd June.

A photographer will be coming to the school this Thursday 22nd March to take school photographs. Children must wear their full uniform on that day. Proofs will be sent home and photographs will be sold on a preview before purchase basis ie. there is no obligation to purchase. Please note the following:
1. Photographs will be taken of all children individually in Junior Infants and Sixth Class.
2. For all other classes, only children with NO siblings in the school will be taken individually and those with siblings will have a group family photo taken.
3. If you want an individual picture of any child in the school who is not in Jnr Infants or Sixth class, and who HAS a sibling in the school, you must let Muireann know before next Wednesday on 9174019 / scoil@cnocnare.net
