We’d like to take this opportunity to give you some information on CAIRDE, the Gaelscoil’s parent association. Every parent/guardian is automatically a member of CAIRDE. At the start of every school year, a core committee and class reps are elected who work with Mícheál and the Board of Management to organise fundraising and social events etc. CAIRDE holds an informal meeting about once a month, which lasts an hour at most. You will not be handed a job at the meeting so please don’t let that put you off coming! Everyone is welcome and we would ask you to come at least once to have a cuppa, chat with other parents, and get some insight into the issues that directly affect your child. Please see this leaflet for more information: Cairde 2024.
Currently, these parents have taken the following roles: Chair: Zara Kelly, Vice-Chair: Bríd O’Connor, Secretary: Caoimhe Tierney, Assistant Secretary: Edel Sheerin, Treasurer: Yvonne Shields, Assistant Treasurer: Síle McGrath and PRO: Emma Hamilton. Class Reps: Lorraine Conlon, Martha Doyle, Olivia McFadden, Clodagh McNulty and Nigel Rossiter. We would like to add to this list, especially with parents from the new Infant classes. Please let us know if you would be willing to help, whatever the class your child is in. GRMA!
