Is le brón a fhógraímid bás Dhiarmaid Ó Gráinne fear mór na Gaeilge sa cheantar le blianta fada agus a ghlac páirt ollmhór i mbunú na scoile seo i 1996. Bhí Diarmaid mar Chathaoirleach ar an gCoiste Bunaithe agus mar bhall den Bhord Bainistíochta sna blianta tosaigh. Bhí baint mór aige leis an ngrúpa COMHRÁ agus bhíodh sé go minic i láthair leis an ngrúpa a thagann le chéile in Óstá ar trathnóna Aoine. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal. We are sad to announce the death of Diarmaid Ó Gráinne (Dermot Greaney) a man who had a great interest in Gaeilge and its promotion in this area and who played a huge role in establishing Gaelscoil Chnoc na Ré in 1996. Diarmaid was the chairperson of the Founding Committee and also served on the Board of Management during the early years of the school. He was involved with the COMHRÁ group and regularly attended the Friday gatherings as Gaeilge in Ósta. May he rest in peace. (http://rip.ie/showdn.php?dn=267384)

While the Government today announced a new Capital Projects Plan, details of any new schools etc. Are not due to be announced for a few weeks yet. More later.
