NUACHTLITIR AR RÍOMPHOST/NEWSLETTER BY E-MAIL:
Muna bhfuil sé déanta cheana agat, seol chugainn do sheoladh ríomhphost (cuir ríomphost chuig scoil@cnocnare.net  le d’ainm/ainm do pháiste mar ábhar ann) Gheobhaidh daoine gan seoltaí ríomhphoist an nuachtlitir sa tseanslí. Déan seic i do fhillteán “spam” ar eagla nach n’aithneofar seoladh na scoile.
If you have not already done so, please forward (or update) your email address(es) to the school (an e-mail to scoil@cnocnare.net with your name/child’s name in the subject line will suffice). Parents without e-mail will continue to receive paper versions but you must let Muireann in the office know if you want a hard copy. Please also check your “spam” folder, as your security systems may not recognise the school address. It is very important to check your email regularly for information from the school as there are important notifications sent, including dates of closures, half days, etc.

R3 & R6:
Mar eolas, beidh ranganna snámha ag tosú ar an Mháirt 7ú Samhain ar feadh 6 seachtain do ranganna 3 & 6, an lá ina dhiaidh dúinn teacht ar ais ón mbriseadh Lár-Téarma.
Please note that swimming will commence for Rang 3 & 6 on Tuesday 7th November, the day after we return from Mid-Term break. A note will issue the week before Mid-Term.

FAR EAST MAGAZINE:
Má tá suim agat síntiús a thabhairt don irisleabhar “Far East”, cuir €10 chun na scoile. Is iad na Columban Missionaries a eisíonn é chun cabhrú leo a gcuid oibre a chur i gcrích i dtíortha thar lear. Ba mhór acu do chuid tacaíochta.
If anybody is interested in subscribing to the “Far East” magazine for the coming year, please send in €10 in an envelope (yearly subscription fee) with your name on it and clearly marked “FAR EAST”. This magazine is produced by the Columban Missionaries who strive to provide basic needs in health, education and housing in countries that suffer from serious poverty, political unrest and severe climate changes. Your support through purchasing a yearly subscription (at just €10 per year) to the magazine is greatly appreciated. We have not had a great response in recent years, so if you feel you are able to support, it is much appreciated.

AM AR SCOIL/TIME IN SCHOOL
Tabhair faoi deara go tosnaíonn scoil ag 8.50r.n. agus go bhfuil sé tábhachtach go mbeidh na páistí istigh faoin am seo. É sin ráite, ní chóir go mbeadh páistí fágtha ar scoil roimh 8.40 r.n., ní bhíonn aon mhúinteoir ar dualgas roimhe seo. Freisin, ba chóir go mbeadh páistí bailithe in am tráthnóna (1.30/2.30) Má bhíonn do pháiste as láthair, cuir scéal nó nóta chuig an scoil le bhur dtoil.
Please note that school starts at 8.50 am. It is important that the children are in by that time. However, children should not be left to school before 8.40am, as there is no supervision before this time. Children should also be collected on time in the afternoon (1.30/2.30) If your child is absent, please contact the school and/or send in a note.

N.B. TABHAIR FAOI DEARA / PLEASE NOTE:
Páistí ag fágáil na scoile/Children leaving school premises during school day
Ar mhaithe le hÁrachas, is gá go ndéanfar aon pháiste a bhíonn bailithe i rith uaireanta scoile a shíniú amach. Tá an leabar chuige seo ar fáil san oifig. Ní féidir aon eisceacht a dhéanamh. Ní gá iad a shíniú isteach arís ná i gcás páiste atá déanach is leor nóta ná glaoch gutháin.
For Insurance reasons, any child collected from school within school hours MUST be signed out. A book for this purpose is held in the office. No exceptions please. There is no necessity to sign the child back in to school if they are returning from an appointment or if they are coming in late. A note/phone call to explain delay is sufficient.

NB _-MÍOLTA GRUAIGE/HEAD LICE:
Faraor, tá míolta gruaige fairsing go leor i ngach scoil, go háirithe ag an am seo den bhliain. Tá curtha in iúl go bhfuil cás sa scoil agus bheimis buíoch go ndéanfaidh sibh scrudú ar ghruaig do chuid páiste INNIU. Iarraimid oraibh seiceáil go minic agus oifig na scoile a chur ar an eolas más gá.
Unfortunately Headlice are a fact of life in all schools, particularly at this time of year. We have been notified of a few current cases in the school and would appreciate if you check your child (rens) head TODAY and treat accordingly please if applicable. We rely on the vigilance of parents to ensure outbreaks are kept to a minimum, but need ALL parents to carry out intermittent checks and please advise the school office if necessary, otherwise the problem will continue unabated . Also, where possible, please ensure your child’s hair is tied up or plaited for girls with long hair as this does help to minimise contagion. Thank you.

ÉADAÍ SCOILE
Tá sé fíor thábhachtach ainm do pháiste a chur ar éadaí scoile, ach go háirithe geansaí, culaith reatha agus cótaí. Déan seic INNIU le bhur dtoil go bhfuil gach ceann marcáilte, agus muna bhfuil, bheimis fíor buíoch é a bheith déanta. Má tá tú ag marcáil éadaí le peann, seiceáil go nár scriosadh seo trí níocháin. Faoi láthair tá líon beag pilirín, geansaithe scoile, cótaí srl gan ainmneacha orthu san oifig. Tabharfar amach iad SAOR IN AISCE do éinne a bhuaileann isteach (Tabhair faoi deara, ní féidir iad a choinneáil duit, ní mór duit dul chuig an oifig go pearsanta).
It is extremely important that each piece of your children’s school clothing is clearly marked with their name! PLEASE check TODAY, and if it is not marked, please do so, particularly jumpers, tracksuit tops and coats. If you are marking clothes with pen, check occasionally this has not been deleted by washing. There are currently a small number of pinafores, school jumpers, tracksuit tops, coats etc without names on them in the office. These will be given out FREE OF CHARGE to the first people to call to the office (Please note, they cannot be kept for you by ringing in, you must come to the office in person.)
