Beidh na páistí ag críochnú ag 12:00 ar an Aoine seo, 3ú Márta, toisc go mbeidh cruinniú foirne ag na múinteoirí.
All children will finish school at 12:00pm this Friday,3rd March, due to a staff meeting.
Lá Domhanda na Leabhair/World Book Day
Is é Lá Domhanda na Leabhair ar an Déardaoin, 2ú Márta. Gheobhaidh gach páiste dearbhán gur féidir leo a úsáid i siopa leabhair. Beidh deis mar is de ghnáth dona páistí teacht ar scoil ar an lá sin gléasta mar charactar ó leabhar.
Thursday 2nd of March, is World Book Day. Each child will receive a book token. These tokens can be exchanged for certain marked books, or used as part payment on others in local bookshops. Reading is always a good exercise for your child! Children, as in previous years, may come to school dressed as a character from a book on that day.
CUMANN na mBUNSCOL
Comhghairdeas le foirnepeile 7-an-taobh agus iománaíochta na mbuachaillí as ucht áit a bhaint amach sna craobhchomórtais. Beidh an craobh iomána ar siúl ar an Domhnach seo, 5ú Márta, san Ionad Teeling agus an leathchraobh/craobh den chomórtas 7-an taobh ar siúl ag deireadh Mí Márta.
Congratulations to the boys’ 7-a-side and hurling teams who have qualified for the final stages of the county competitions. The indoor hurling final will be held this Sunday, March 5th, in the Teeling Centre and the semi-finals/final of the 7-side tournament will take place at the end of March.
LABHAIRT NA GAEILGE
Beidh Seachtain na Gaeilge ar siúl i mbliana ón 1ú Marta go 17ú Marta. Beidh imeachtaí speisialta ar siúl do na páistí sa scoil. Tuilleadh ar ball.
Ta an-bhéim sa scoil faoi láthair maidir lena páistí a spregadh chun a gcuid Gaeilge labhartha a fheabhsú. Tacaigí leo! Ma theastaíonn uait do chuid Gaeilge labhartha a chleachtadh, bain triail as na grúpaí comhrá seo a leanas:
“Seachtain na Gaeilge”/“Irish Language Week” will take place from 1st to 17th March this year. There will be special activities in the school for the children. More info later.
We are placing great emphasis on improving the children’s spoken Irish at present. Please support them! If you’d like a chance to improve your spoken Irish, there are three informal conversation groups that meet in Sligo weekly:
Dé Céadaoin / Wednesday: 11.00 am – 1.30 pm Costa Cafe, Johnston Court
Dé hAoine / Friday: 5.00 – 7.30 pm Ósta Cafe
Dé Sathairn / Saturday: 11.00 am Vintage Cafe, Branley’s Yard, Rathcormac
