Lá mór é dona páistí a bheidh ann amárach, go háirithe dona naíonáin nua, agus táimid ag súil le gach duine a fheiceáil arís. Is féidir libh páistí ón rang nua naíonáin a thabhairt díreach isteach sa rang, seasann gach páiste eile ina líne mar is gnách (ag braith ar an aimsir!) Níl sé de chumas ag an gcarrchlós freastal ar na gluaisteáin uile agus mar sin iarraimid ar tuismitheoirí a gcuid páistí a shiúil ar scoil más féidir ach, más gá páirceáil, an-aire a thabhairt.
Rinne an fhoireann agus an Bord athbhreithniú ar na socruithe maidir le teacht agus imeacht na páistí. Ar mhaithe le Leas na bPáistí, Cosaint Leanaí agus Sláinte agus Sábháilteacht, agus mar an chéad chéim, cuirfidh an scoil na nósanna imeachta nua seo a leanas i bhfeidhm ó amárach.
AR MAIDIN
- Má thagann tú i gcarr, ba chóir duit na páistí a shiúil go dtí an líne nó go díreach chuig an cosán. Ná lig dona páistí siúl tríd an gcarrchlós.
- Seasann na páistí i líne os comhair na scoile agus taobh istigh den bhalla. Ná seas, le do thoil, taobh amuigh den bhalla mar go bhfuil riosca sábháilteachta ann.
- Ba chóir dona páistí a bheith ar scoil in am. I gcás go mbíonn páistí déanach, is fearr iad a scaoileadh síos leo féin ón ngeata chun cur isteach ar an rang a laghdú. Más gá teachtaireacht a thabhairt, is féidir le tuismitheoirí dul suas chuig oifig na scoile.
TRÁTHNÓNA
- Ní cheadófar d’aon pháiste fágáil tríd páirc/bainc cloiche Naomh Mhuire ná díreach tríd an carrchlós.
- Úsáidfidh páistí ag siúl agus / nó ag baint úsáide as an tseirbhís bus an cosán amháin.
- Ba chóir páistí a théann abhaile i gcarr nó a bhailítear iad, a bhailiú ón spás taobh istigh den bhalla (i,e, má tá do leanbh á mbailiú agat, fan orthu taobh istigh den bhalla.)
- Tabharfaidh múinteoirí na ranganna chuig an bpointe bailiúcháin / cosán gach tráthnóna.
- Má tá gá le páistí a bhailiú go luath, cláraigh é seo sa leabhar san oifig ar dtús.

Tomorrow is a big day for pupils, especially for our new infants and we look forward to seeing everybody again tomorrow. Children from the new infant class can be brought into the class, all other children line up outside as usual (weather permitting!) The carpark has not the capacity to accommodate all cars so where possible we ask that parents walk their children to school and if parking to exercise extreme caution.
The staff and Board have reviewed arrangements for arrival and dispersal of children. In the interests of Pupil Welfare, Child Protection and Health & Safety, and as a first step, the school will implement the following new procedures from tomorrow.
MORNING
- If arriving by car, children should be walked to the line or directly to the footpath. Please do not let children walk through the carpark.
- Children line up in front of the school and inside the wall. Please do not congregate outside the wall as this poses a safety risk.
- It is important that children arrive at school in time. If late, allow them to walk unaccompanied to their room from the side-gate to minimise disruption to their class. If a message needs to be given, parents can call up to the school office.
AFTERNOON
- No children will be allowed exit through St. Mary’s/stone bank nor directly through the carpark
- Children walking and/or using the bus service exit the school by the footpath only.
- Children going home by car or being collected should be collected from inside the wall (i.e. if collecting your child, please wait inside the wall for them)
- Teachers will bring the classes to the collection point/footpath each afternoon.
- If children need to be collected early, please sign the book in the office first.
