A big thank you to all parents and children. We raised over €435 this year for Temple Street Children’s Hospital through our Halloween dressing up and Board Games Day. Well Done! If anyone still wishes to donate, please ensure this is submitted by Friday 8th November. GRMA!
Dioscó na Samhna/ Halloween Disco
Míle buíochas le CAIRDE agus lena tuistí agus na múinteoirí a rinne maoirseacht ar na páistí roimh, le linn agus i ndiaidh an dioscó. Bhí sé iontach slua mór agus a lán tuistí nua a fheiceáil ag cabhrú linn i mbliana. Buíochas ar leith le tuismitheoir na scoile Richard Kelly, Supervalu Baile an Mhóta, a rinne urraíocht ar an mbia agus deochanna dona páistí!
Thanks to CAIRDE and all the parents and múinteoirí who helped supervise the children during and after the disco. It was great to see so many helpers and especially new parents getting involved. Thanks especially to parent Richard Kelly, Supervalu Ballymote, who donated the food and drinks for the children again this year.
OIREACHTAS na GAEILGE
Comhghairdeas le Caomhán (R5), Matthew Ó Cr (R4), Ella & Saoirse Ní F (R3) agus Ciarán (R1) a bhí i measc slua páistí ó Shligeach/ón Gaelscoil a ghlac páirt i gcómórtais Oireachtas na Gaeilge, le linn na seachtaine seo caite, i mBaile Átha Cliath. Seo an chéad uair do lucht óige na Gaeilge ón gContae páirt a ghlacadh sa bhféile seo. Comhghairdeas leo agus do Carol agus na tuistí eile a stiúraigh iad.
Congratulations to Caomhán (R5), Matthew Ó Cr (R4), Ella & Saoirse Ní F (R3) and Ciarán (R1) who were among a group of children from Sligo/Gaelscoil who participated in Oireachtas na Gaeilge competitions last week in Dublin. This is the first time that children from the county have participated in this festival. Congratulations to them all and to Carol and the other parents who worked with them.

We will be accepting boxes on the 7th & 8th of November ONLY. Please do NOT send them in BEFORE or AFTER these dates! Thank you for your continued generosity to this worthy cause, it is much appreciated by children less fortunate.
