COVID
Míle buíochas as ucht bhur gcomhoibriú le na socraithe atá curtha i bhfeidhm. Iarraimid áfach NACH mbíonn páistí fágtha ar scoil roimh 8.40 a.m. mar go gcruthaíonn seo fadhbanna scaradh sóisialta agus árachais don scoil. Chomh fada agus is eol dúinn, ní bheidh aon athrú ar na srianta atá i bhfeidhm i scoileanna ón 22 Deire Fómhair. Más é bhur dtoil é, ná cuir do pháisted ar scoil má léiríonn siad comharthaí tinnis; tá na treoracha is déanaí ar fáil anseo: https://www.hpsc.ie/a-z/respiratory/coronavirus/novelcoronavirus/guidance/educationguidance/Isolation%20quick%20guide%20under%2013s.pdf
Thank you all for your co – operation with the arrangements put in place to try and keep everyone safe. However, we ask that children NOT be left in school before 8.40 a.m. as this creates problems of social distancing and insurance for the school. To the best of our knowledge, there will be no change to the mitigation measures in place for schools from 22 October. Please continue not to send your child to school if they display symptoms. See the latest guidance at https://www.hpsc.ie/a-z/respiratory/coronavirus/novelcoronavirus/guidance/educationguidance/Isolation%20quick%20guide%20under%2013s.pdf
Lá na nGeansaí/Jersey Day
Dé hAoine seo, 8ú, beidh Lá na nGeansaí againn ar scoil mar chúnamh don charthanas GOAL. Is féidir le páistí teacht ar scoil ag caitheamh a gcuid dathanna foirne nó gnáthéadaí. IarrfaimidI go ndéanfaidís ranníocaíocht bheag leis an gcarthanas freisin, i.e. € 3 an duine / € 5 an teaghlach más féidir.
This Friday, 8th, we will hold a Jersey Day in school in aid of the charity GOAL. Children can come to school wearing their team colours or ordinary clothes. We would ask that they would make a small contribution to the charity also, e.g. €3 per person /€5 per family if possible. Míle Buíochas!
Briseadh Lár Téarma/Mid-Term Break & Trick or Treat for Temple Street:
Beidh an scoil ag dúnadh ar an Aoine 22ú Deireadh Fómhair ag an gnáth am i gcóir briseadh lár téarma. Athosclóidh sí arís Dé Luain 1ú Samhain. Ar an 22ú, beidh cead ag na páistí gléasadh i bhfeisteas Oíche Shamhna ach faraor beidh bac ar frapaí ar nós bataí, scuabanna srl.(hatái agus aghaidheann fidil ceadaithe) Is fearr go mbeidh siad gléasta ag teacht ar scoil. Lorgaímid síntúis beag ón gclann más féidir, d’ Ospidéal Temple Street. Níl cead bia a roinnt ach tá cead acu ‘treat’ beag a thabhairt leo don lón. Tá cosc ar chnóanna, áfach.
School will close on Friday 22nd October at the normal times for the mid-term break, and will re-open on Monday 1st November. On the 22nd the children will be allowed to dress up in Halloween costumes but unfortunately props such as sticks, brushes etc. as well as home made bulky fancy dress items cannot be used (hats and masks are ok). It is preferable if they can come to school already dressed up. Each year we ask for a small donation (per family), if possible, for Temple Street Children’s Hospital. Sharing food is not allowed but they are allowed to bring a small ‘treat’ for lunch. No nuts, however.
SONRAÍ TEAGMHÁLA/CONTACT DETAILS
Tá sé fíor-thábhachtach go mbíonn uimhir teagmhála tuistí againn do gach páiste sa scoil. Má tá aon athrú tagtha ar bhur sonraí teagmhála, cuir scéal chuig Muireann san oifig láithreach, le bhur dtoil. Míle Buíochas.
It is imperative that the school has a contact number of a parent/guardian for each child, which is accessible at all times. If you have changed/updated ANY of your contact details, please let Muireann in the school office know immediately, thank you.
Cruinnithe Tuistí-Múinteoirí/Parent-Teacher Meetings
Níl aon socrú déanta go fóill agus táimid ag fanacht ar threor na Roinne. Tá gach cosúlacht ar chúrsaí nach mbeidh siad ar siúl ach amháin thar an fón/idirlíon agus seans níos deireanaí sa bhlian ná mar bha ghnách. Is féidr teagmháil a dhéanamh i gcónaí leis an múinteoir ranga tríd ríomhphost, Aladdin, Seesaw nó tríd glaoch ar ais a lorg tríd an oifig.
No arrangements have been made yet and we are awaiting the Department’s guidance. It is more than likely that they will take place over the phone / internet only and may be held later in the year than usual. The class teacher can always be contacted by email, Aladdin, Seesaw or by seeking a call back through the office.
FAR EAST MAGAZINE
Má tá suim agat síntiús a thabhairt don irisleabhar “Far East”, cuir €15 chun na scoile. Is iad na Columban Missionaries a eisíonn é chun cabhrú leo a gcuid oibre a chur i gcrích i dtíortha thar lear. Ba mhór acu do chuid tacaíochta.
If anybody is interested in subscribing to the “Far East” magazine for the coming year, please send in €15 in an envelope (yearly subscription fee) with your name on it and clearly marked “FAR EAST”. This magazine is produced by the Columban Missionaries who strive to provide basic needs in health, education and housing in countries that suffer from serious poverty, political unrest and severe climate changes. Your support through purchasing a yearly subscription (at just €15 per year) to the magazine is greatly appreciated.

Riaracháin/Administration:
Bheimis buíoch as aon fhoirm, airgead, cead srl. a bheith seolta ar ais CHOMH LUATH AGUS IS FÉIDIR le bhur dtoil. Freisin bí cinnte go gcuirtear aon airgead a thugtar don scoil (turas srl.) i gclúdach litreach. Le 230 dalta sa scoil, tá sé dodhéanta súil a choinneáil ar airgead nach bhfuil i gclúdach, go háirithe ag an am seo den bhliain. Muna bhfuil na clúdaigh scoile buí agat, seol € 3.50 chugainn agus cuirfimid paicéad nua chugat, nó is féidir aon chlúdach litreach ón mbaile a athchúrsáil. Tá sé fíor-thábhachtach go mbíonn uimhir teagmhála tuistí againn do gach páiste sa scoil. Má tá aon athrú tagtha ar bhur sonraí teagmhála, cuir scéal chuig Muireann san oifig láithreach, le bhur dtoil. Míle Buíochas.
It would be greatly appreciated if any forms to be signed, money for various events, or permission slips are returned to the school AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, or by date specified on the note, to allow for effective administration. Also, if you are sending money into the school, PLEASE ensure it is in an envelope! With 230 pupils now in the school, it is impossible to keep track of children handing money in without an envelope, at any time of year. If you have misplaced or run out of your yellow school envelopes, send €3.50 in with your child and a packet will be sent home with them. Alternatively, you can recycle any envelope from home. Please also ensure their FULL NAME, Class & what the money is for is written clearly on the envelope. It is imperative that the school has a contact number of a parent/guardian for each child, which is accessible at all times. If you have changed/updated ANY of your contact details, please let Muireann in the school office know immediately, thank you.
Airgead Scoile/School Payments:
A reminder to please send an email in to Muireann at scoil@cnocnare.net for any payments you have made for your child(ren) to their school account, giving details and what the payment is for. Thank you.
