Tá socruithe do na seachtainí amach romhainn idir láimhe agus cuirfear in iúl daoibh iad sna laethanta amach romhainn. Tá socruithe á gcur i gcrích againn faoi láthair, mar a d’iarr an Roinn, chun bailiú leabhar (boscaí) ag tuismitheoirí a éascú ar bhealach sábháilte ón lá amárach. As you are no doubt aware, the Government announced officially yesterday that schools were to close for the next 3 weeks and to switch to remote learning due to the high incidence of COVID-19 presently. While disappointing, it is, I believe, the only course of action available in order to supress the virus and keep our school communities safe. Arrangements for the coming weeks are in hand and will be communicated to you in the coming days. We are currently putting arrangements in place, as requested by the Department, to facilitate the collection of books (boxes) by parents in a safe manner from tomorrow. Details will be forwarded later today.
Please note that we will be using SeeSaw and Aladdin mainly, which all families have been using in recent months; please ensure that these apps are downloaded if not already done. We appreciate that access to digital technology may be a challenge for some and there are a limited number of laptops and tablets which the school can loan to families if required. Please contact the school to apply if necessary.
This is indeed a difficult and challenging time for all of us but by supporting each other, we will get through it. Please stay safe and we will be in touch again soon.
