Irish classes for parents will start in the school (six weeks) on Wednesday next 18th October , from 7.30 – 8.30pm, and each Wednesday (none on 1/11) until 29th November. The main topics to be covered will be conversational Irish for the home and helping with homework! If interested, please let Muireann know. Beidh an scoil ag dúnadh ar an Aoine 27ú Deireadh Fómhair ag 2.30 i.n i gcóir briseadh lár téarma. Athosclóidh sí arís Dé Luain 6ú Samhain. Ar an 27ú, beidh cead ag na páistí cluichí boird a thabhairt leo ar scoil, agus síntúis beag ón gclann más féidir, d’ Ospidéal Temple Street. Is fearr go mbeidh siad gléasta ag teacht ar scoil. Beidh cead acu freisin aghaidh fidil, éadaí Samhna agus torthaí a thabhairt leo. Tá cosc ar chnóanna, áfach. Ta súil ag CAIRDE dioscó na Samhna a eagrú ar an la sin freisin.
School will close on Friday 27th October at 2.30pm for the mid-term break. It will re-open on Monday 6th November @ 8.50 a.m. On Friday 27th the children will be allowed to bring board games to school and a small donation (per family), if possible, for Temple Street Children’s Hospital. They are allowed to wear Halloween masks and costumes and bring fruit etc. with them. No nuts, however. It is preferable if they can come to school already dressed up, if possible. Cairde hope to run the annual Halloween discos on that day also.
CRUINNIÚ CAIRDE/ CAIRDE MEETING
Beidh an chéad chruinniú eile Cairde ar siúl ar an Mháirt seo chugainn, 17ú Deire Fómhair, ar a hocht a chlog sa scoil chun Dioscó na Samhna a eagrú, chun athbhreithniú a dhéanamh ar obair na bliana seo caite agus chun ullmhú do AGM Cairde a bheidh ar siúl i Mí na Samhna. Is ball CAIRDE gach tuismitheoir scoile agus tá áilte roimh cách ach go háirithe na tuismitheoirí nua.
The next Cairde meeting will take place next Tuesday, October 17th, at eight o’clock in the school –to organize the Halloween Disco for the children on Friday 27th, to review the work of last year and to prepare for the AGM that will take place in November. All parents in the school are automatically members of Cairde and are welcome to attend, especially the new parents.

Beidh siad ar siúl ar an gCéadaoin 22ú & Déardaoin 23ú Samhain. Cuirfear clár agus tuilleadh sonraí amach ag tús Mí na Samhna. Má tá lá faoi leith níos fearr duit, cuir é sin in iúl dúinn le bhur dtoil.
These will take place on Wednesday 22nd & Thursday 23rd of November 2017. A timetable and more details will be sent out in early November. If one date suits better than the other, please let us know as soon as possible.
• Cruinniú Foirne/Staff Meeting
Beidh na páistí ag críochnú ag 12:00 ar an Aoine, 1ú NOLLAIG, toisc cruinniú foirne ag na múinteoirí.
All children will finish school at 12:00pm on Friday, DECEMBER 1st for a staff meeting.
ÉADAÍ SCOILE
Tá sé fíor thábhachtach ainm do pháiste a chur ar éadaí scoile, ach go háirithe geansaí, culaith reatha agus cótaí. Déan seic INNIU le bhur dtoil go bhfuil gach ceann marcáilte, agus muna bhfuil, bheimis fíor buíoch é a bheith déanta. Má tá tú ag marcáil éadaí le peann, seiceáil go nár scriosadh seo trí níocháin. Faoi láthair tá líon beag pilirín, geansaithe scoile, cótaí srl gan ainmneacha orthu san oifig. Tabharfar amach iad SAOR IN AISCE do éinne a bhuaileann isteach (Tabhair faoi deara, ní féidir iad a choinneáil duit, ní mór duit dul chuig an oifig go pearsanta).
It is extremely important that each piece of your children’s school clothing is clearly marked with their name! PLEASE check TODAY, and if it is not marked, please do so, particularly jumpers, tracksuit tops and coats. If you are marking clothes with pen, check occasionally this has not been deleted by washing. There are currently a small number of pinafores, school jumpers, tracksuit tops, coats etc without names on them in the office. These will be given out FREE OF CHARGE to the first people to call to the office (Please note, they cannot be kept for you by ringing in, you must come to the office in person.)
