Tá súil agam go bhfuil gach duine ag fanacht slán, sábháilte. Is mian linn a fhógairt go gcuirfimid Aladdin Schools Connect i bhfeidhm go gairid do thuismitheoirí / chaomhnóirí páistí inár ranganna.Úsáideann an scoil Aladdin Schools www.aladdin.ie mar chóras  riaracháin sa scoil agus tabharfaidh Connect rochtain shlán duit ar theachtaireachtaí ón scoil agus ar shonraí faoi fhreastal do pháiste, torthaí tástála, cártaí tuairisce srl trí logáil isteach slán ó do bhrabhsálaí idirlín nó tríd an Aip Aladdin Connect. Ar dtús ní bheimid ag úsáid ach na gnéithe mar a bhaineann le Obair Bhaile agus Clár na bhFógraí. Tosófar ar ghnéithe eile de réir mar a thiocfaidh cúrsaí ar ais ina gceart! Féach thíos le haghaidh tuilleadh sonraí agus léigh go cúramach go háirithe maidir le rochtain tuismitheoirí. Tá an scoil tar éis ár leathanach Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/gaelscoilchnocnare/ ) a athghníomhú go sealadach chun roinnt nuashonruithe a phostáil ach go príomha chun naisc úsáideacha oideachais a fhoilsiú daoibh. Iarraimid nach roinnfeá eolas phearsanta, grianghraif leis an leathanach seo go fóill, ach tabharfar aird air seo in am.

I hope everyone is keeping safe and well. We will shortly roll out the Aladdin Schools Connect to parents/guardians of children in our classes. The school uses the Aladdin Schools software service www.aladdin.ie for administrative purposes and Connect will give you secure access to messages from the school and to details of your child’s attendance, test results, reports cards etc via secure login from your internet browser or Aladdin Connect App. Initially we will only be using the Homework and Notice Board features. Other features will be introduced as and when things return to normal! See below for more details and read carefully particulary in relation to parental access. All comments and/or queries welcomed.

FACEBOOK The school has temporarily reactivated our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/gaelscoilchnocnare/) for the purposes of posting some updates but mainly to publish useful links for educational purposes. We would ask that you do not share personal information, photos to this page for now, but this will be given consideration in time.

ALADDIN CONNECT

• A chinntiú go bhfuil an t-eolas teagmhála is nuashonraithe ag an scoil
• Ag ligean do scoileanna cead a bhailiú ó thuismitheoirí
• Tuismitheoirí a choinneáil suas chun dáta ar nuacht na scoile agus an seomra ranga trí fhógraí
• Ag ligean do thuismitheoirí am a roghnú go tapa agus go héifeachtúil do chruinnithe tuismitheoirí-múinteoirí
• Tuismitheoirí a chur ar an eolas faoi thinreamh a bpáistí
• Ag ligean do thuismitheoirí féachaint ar na nithe a bhí ag a bpáiste don obair bhaile
• Ag ligean do thuismitheoirí féachaint ar thuairisc scoile a bpáistí

Chomh maith lenár gcomhpháirtíocht baile / scoile a neartú, feictear dúinn go gcabhróidh Aladdin Connect leis an scoil trí:

• Cuidiú le tinreamh a fheabhsú trí ligean do thuismitheoirí súil a choinneáil ar aon laethanta scoile a d’fhéadfadh a bheith caillte ag a bpáistí faoi láthair, mar aon le eolas maidir le teacht déanach.
• Cuidiú le méid na nótaí ranga / scoile a chuirtear abhaile a laghdú.
• Cuidiú leis an scoil / múinteoirí cumarsáid a dhéanamh le tuismitheoirí nuair a bhíonn gá leis
• Costais a laghdú trí dheireadh a chur leis an ngá le cártaí tuairisce scoile a sheoladh tríd an bpost
• Costais a laghdú trí líon na dteachtaireachtaí téacs a chaithfear a sheoladh a laghdú

Is féidir leat a bheith cinnte go n-úsáideann Aladdin Schools slándáil den scoth chun aon eolas a chuireann an scoil isteach a chosaint agus go ndéantar sonraí a stóráil agus a phróiseáil i gcomhréir dhlúth le dlíthe cosanta sonraí na hÉireann agus na hEorpa.

Sna cúpla lá amach romhainn, gheobhaidh tú teachtaireacht téacs / ríomhphoist ina mbeidh do nasc cláraithe. Beidh nasc amháin in aghaidh an tuismitheora a ligfidh don tuismitheoir rochtain a fháil ar eolas dá páistí uile sa scoil ó chuntas úsáideora amháin. Ná seol an téacs / ríomhphost seo ar aghaidh nó roinn an nasc seo mar is cód uathúil clárúcháin é seo do gach tuismitheoir do do pháiste / páistí sa scoil seo. Le linn an chláraithe roghnóidh tú pasfhocal a úsáidfear i dteannta le do sheoladh ríomhphoist chun rochtain shlán a fháil ar Aladdin Connect agus muid ag dul ar aghaidh. Má roghnaíonn tú féadfaidh tú do chuid sonraí teagmhála féin a roinnt le tuismitheoirí páistí eile sa rang céanna le do pháistí, ach bí ar do shuaimhneas nach roinnfear an t-eolas seo mura roghnaíonn tú í a roinnt. Nuair a bheidh tú cláraithe cuirfear r-phost chugat le naisc chun an Aladdin Connect App a íoslódáil don bhfón. Is é an príomhbhuntáiste a bhaineann leis an Aip a úsáid ná teachtaireachtaí aip a sheolann do scoil a fháil láithreach. Moltar go mór an Aip a íoslódáil.

Mar ullmhúchán dó seo, cuir in iúl don scoil an bhfuil athrú tagtha ar do sheoladh ríomhphoist nó d’uimhir theileafóin le déanaí.

Tabhair faoi deara le do thoil: Má tá aon imní pearsanta, nó aon fhorálacha dlíthiúla i bhfeidhm maidir le rochtain a thabhairt ar Connect le haon tuismitheoir / caomhnóir de do pháiste déan teagmháil leis an scoil faoi rún chun rochtain a phlé nó a shrianadh de réir mar is gá.

Tá súil againn go mbainfidh tú tairbhe as Aladdin Connect a úsáid. Cuirim fáilte roimh aon aiseolas nó ceisteanna a d’fhéadfadh a bheith agat.

ALADDIN CONNECT

Aladdin Connect is a fantastic way to enhance a school’s communication with parents. It enables parents to stay connected and informed about their child’s education by:

• Ensuring that the school has their most up to date contact information
• Allowing schools to gather permission(s) from parents
• Keeping parents up to date on school and classroom news via noticeboard messages
• Allowing parents to view what items their child had for homework today
• Giving parents the option to opt in to share contact information with their child’s classmates’ parents via the Parent Privacy option for the class list.
• Allowing parents Allowing parents to quickly and efficiently select preferred slots for parent teacher meetings
• Keeping parents apprised of their child’s attendance
• Keeping parents up to date on what library book their child is currently reading and if it is due/overdue to be returned
• Allowing parents view their child’s approved report card
• to view their child’s latest standardised test results

Along with strengthening our home/school partnership, we also envisage Aladdin Connect helping the school by:

• Helping to improve attendance by allowing parents to keep track of any school days their child may have currently missed, along with late arrival and early leaving information.
• Helping to reduce the amount of class/school notes being sent home.
• Helping the school/ teachers communicate with parents when the need arises
• Reducing costs by eliminating the need to send school report cards by post
• Reducing costs by reducing the number of text messages that need to be sent

You can rest reassured that Aladdin Schools uses state-of-the-art security to safeguard information entered by the school and data is stored and processed in strict compliance with Irish and European data protection laws.

In the next few days, you will receive a text/email message containing your registration link. There will be one link per parent which will allow the parent to access information for all their children in the school from one user account. Please do not forward this text/email or share this link as this is a unique registration code for each parent for your child/children in this school. During registration you will choose a password that will be used in conjunction with your email address to securely access the Aladdin Connect going forward. If you choose you may share your own contact details with other parents of children in the same class as your children, but please be reassured that this information will not be shared unless you choose to share it. Once you are registered you will be sent an email with links to download the Aladdin Connect App for your mobile device. The main advantage of using the App is to receive immediate alerts for app messages sent by your school. Downloading the App is highly recommended to enhance both the parent and school’s Connect experience.

In preparation for this please let the school know if your email address or phone number has changed recently.

Please note: If there are any personal concerns, or legal provisions in place regarding giving access to Connect to any parent/guardian of your child please contact the school in confidence to discuss or restrict access as required.
