Briseadh Lár Téarma/Mid-Term Break & Trick or Treat for Temple Street/Torthaí, Cluichí agus Aghaideanna Fidil!/Fruit, Games and Masks!:
Beidh an scoil ag dúnadh ar an Aoine 25ú Deireadh Fómhair ag 2.30 i.n i gcóir briseadh lár téarma. Athosclóidh sí arís Dé Luain 4ú Samhain. Ar an 25ú, beidh cead ag na páistí cluichí boird a thabhairt leo ar scoil, agus síntúis beag ón gclann más féidir, d’ Ospidéal Temple Street. Is fearr go mbeidh siad gléasta ag teacht ar scoil. Beidh cead acu freisin aghaidh fidil, éadaí Samhna agus torthaí a thabhairt leo. Tá cosc ar chnóanna, áfach. Ta súil ag CAIRDE dioscó na Samhna a eagrú ar an la sin freisin.
School will close on Friday 25th October at 2.30pm for the mid-term break. It will re-open on Monday 4th November @ 8.50 a.m. On Friday 25th the children will be allowed to bring board games to school and a small donation (per family), if possible, for Temple Street Children’s Hospital. They are allowed to wear Halloween masks and costumes and bring fruit etc. with them. No nuts, however. It is preferable if they can come to school already dressed up, if possible. Cairde hope to run the annual Halloween discos on that day also, but cannot run the event successfully if there isn’t enough voluntary help from parents.
R4 & R5-SNÁMH:
Mar eolas, beidh ranganna snámha ag tosú ar an Mháirt 5ú Samhain ar feadh 6 seachtain do ranganna 4 & 5, an lá ina dhiaidh dúinn teacht ar ais ón mbriseadh Lár-Téarma.
Please note that swimming will commence for Rang 4 & 5 on Tuesday 5th November, the day after we return from Mid-Term break. Please check bags for note, and ensure children have all gear with them on the Tuesday morning. Some of you have paid online/cash already, thank you.
Leabhair Scoile/School Books:
Tá airgead leabhair scoile nach bhfuil íochta fós thar téarma faoi láthair – tá sé le n-íoc anois le bhur dtoil.
All money for school books is now overdue. Please pay in school office immediately. First payment of Contribution is due by end Sept. please. Thank you to those who have already contributed.
Riaracháin/Administration:
Bheimis buíoch as aon fhoirm, airgead, cead srl. a bheith seolta ar ais CHOMH LUATH AGUS IS FÉIDIR le bhur dtoil. Freisin bí cinnte go gcuirtear aon airgead a thugtar don scoil (turas srl.) i gclúdach litreach. Le beagnach 250 dalta sa scoil, tá sé dodhéanta súil a choinneáil ar airgead nach bhfuil i gclúdach, go háirithe ag an am seo den bhliain. Muna bhfuil na clúdaigh scoile buí agat, seol € 3.50 chugainn agus cuirfimid paicéad nua chugat, nó is féidir aon chlúdach litreach ón mbaile a athchúrsáil. Tá sé fíor-thábhachtach go mbíonn uimhir teagmhála tuistí againn do gach páiste sa scoil. Má tá aon athrú tagtha ar bhur sonraí teagmhála, cuir scéal chuig Muireann san oifig láithreach, le bhur dtoil. Míle Buíochas.
It would be greatly appreciated if any forms to be signed, money for various events, or permission slips are returned to the school AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, or by date specified on the note, to allow for effective administration. Also, if you are sending money into the school, PLEASE ensure it is in an envelope! With almost 250 pupils now in the school, it is impossible to keep track of children handing money in without an envelope, at any time of year. If you have misplaced or run out of your yellow school envelopes, send €3.50 in with your child and a packet will be sent home with them. Alternatively, you can recycle any envelope from home. Please also ensure their FULL NAME, Class & what the money is for is written clearly on the envelope. It is imperative that the school has a contact number of a parent/guardian for each child, which is accessible at all times. If you have changed/updated ANY of your contact details, please let Muireann in the school office know immediately, thank you.
