“Seachtain na Gaeilge”/“Irish Language Week” (http://www.snag.ie/ ) is now in progress until 17th March this year.  There will be special activities in the school for the children.  Also, each class will have a trip outside school during the month, listed below. Please make an effort to use more Irish at home during Seachtain na Gaeilge!

Lá Domhanda na Leabhair/World Book Day: Beidh Lá Domhanda na Leabhair ar an Déardaoin seo, 7ú Márta. Gheobhaidh gach páiste dearbhán gur féidir leo a úsáid i siopa leabhair. Beidh deis mar is de ghnáth dona páistí teacht ar scoil ar an lá sin gléasta mar charactar ó leabhar.
This Thursday, 7th of March, is World Book Day.  Each child will receive a book token.  These tokens can be exchanged for certain marked books, or used as part payment on others in local bookshops.  Reading is always a good exercise for your child. Children, as in previous years, may come to school dressed as a character from a book on the day.

MÓRSHIÚIL LÁ le PÁDRAIG – St. PATRICK’s PARADE
Tá sé i gceist againn go mbeidh deis ag na páistí siúl sa Mórshiúl ar Lá le Pádraig i mbliana. An téama do 2019 ná curiarracht an domhain a bhriseadh don mhéad is mó leipreacháin a bheith in aon áit amháin. Is féidir le na páistí, mar sin, siúil ann gléasta mar leipreacháin nó éadaí daite a luíonn leis an ócáid a chaitheamh. Tuilleadh ar ball. Is gá dúinn tuismitheoirí a fháil chun maoirseacht a dhéanamh orthu agus fanacht leo go dtí go bhfuil gach páiste bailithe.  Má tá tú ar fáil téigh i dteagmháil linn ar 071 9174019 nó scoil@cnocnare.net.
We will be taking part in the St Patricks Day Parade again this year.  The theme for 2019 is an attempt to break the world record for the largest number of leprechauns assembled in one place. The children can, therefore, walk dressed as leprechauns or in costumes/clothes in keeping with the occasion. We must have parents available to supervise the children and wait at the end of the parade until all children are collected.  If you are available to help out, please let us know on 071 9174019 or scoil@cnocnare.net. More details early next week.
