Ar an 27 Iúil 2020, d’fhoilsigh an Roinn Oideachais agus Scileanna treoirlínte chun scoileanna a athoscailt. Is féidir leat na cáipéisí foilsithe go léir agus na nuashonruithe ina dhiaidh sin a fháil ag https://www.gov.ie/en/campaigns/a128d-back-to-school/ (GAEILGE: https://www.gov.ie/ga/feachtais/filleadh-ar-scoil/)
On 27th July 2020, the Department of Education and Skills published guidelines for reopening schools. You can find all the published documents and subsequent updates at https://www.gov.ie/en/campaigns/a128d-back-to-school/ (GAEILGE: https://www.gov.ie/ga/feachtais/filleadh-ar-scoil/)
Táimid ag obair go crua chun a chinntiú go mbeidh gach rud a chaithfear a dhéanamh roimh teacht ar ais ar an 27 Lúnasa críochnaithe agus foilseofar leagan níos iomláine dár bPlean Freagartha níos gaire don dáta. Idir an dá linn, beidh an fhaisnéis seo a leanas úsáideach agus iarraimid ar gach tuismitheoir í a léamh go cúramach. Tá fáilte roimh thuairimí, mholtaí agus cheisteanna. Beidh an scoil rud beag difriúil i mbliana, go háirithe ag an tús, ach rachaidh na páistí i dtaithí uirthi go tapaidh. Mínigh do do pháiste go mbeidh rudaí rud beag difriúil, ach déan iarracht gan a chur in iúl dóibh go bhfuil tú ró-bhuartha mar go n-airíonn páistí seo. Is é an aidhm atá againn i gcónaí an scoil a athoscailt ar bhealach sábháilte, agus na páistí a chur ar a suaimhneas ionas go mbeidh siad compórdach, sábháilte agus suaimhneach lena gcairde i dtimpeallacht nua na scoile. Bainfidh gach duine againn é seo amach agus sinn ag obair le chéile.
We have been working hard to ensure that everything that needs to be done in advance of the planned return on August 27th will be completed and a fuller version of our Response Plan will be published nearer the date. In the meantime, the following information will be useful and we would ask that every parent read it carefully. Comments, suggestions and questions are welcome. School will be a bit different this year, especially at the beginning, but the children will get used to it very quickly. Explain to your child that things will be a bit different, but try not to let them know that you are overly worried as children can pick up on stress. Our aim remains to re-open the school in an orderly safe manner, while reassuring the children and making them feel comfortable, safe and relaxed with their friends in the new school environment. This will be achieved by all of us working towards this common goal.
FAN I DTEAGMHÁIL- KEEPING UPDATED
Coinnigh súil ar shuíomh Gréasáin na scoile (ww2.cnocnare.net/fill) agus seiceáil do r-phost agus téacsanna le haghaidh nuashonruithe. Seiceáil go bhfuil do chuid sonraí teagmhála cearta ag an scoil. Cuir in iúl dúinn má tá seoladh, uimhir fóin nó seoladh ríomhphoist nua agat. B’fhéidir gur mhaith leat a sheiceáil freisin go bhfuil do chuid sonraí teagmhála éigeandála suas chun dáta (is féidir é seo a dhéanamh trí Aladdin Connect)
Keep an eye on the school website (ww2.cnocnare.net/fill) and check your email and texts for updates. Check that the school has your correct contact details. Let the know if you have moved house, changed phone number or email address. You may also want to check that your emergency contact details are up to date (this can be done through Aladdin Connect)
ÉIDE SCOILE- UNIFORMS
Níl aon treoir ná comhairle ann a rá gur chóir éide scoile nó culaith spóirt a níochán gach lá agus is dócha nach bhfuil sé seo praiticiúil d’fhormhór na dteaghlach. Molaimid iad a chaitheamh gach ré lá chun glanadh níos minice a cheadú más mian libh. Ar aon chaoi, beidh Corpoideachas ag brath ar an aimsir mar ní bheimid ag úsáid an HALLA go ceann i bhfad. Molaimid mar scoil go láidir nár chóir do páistí a n-éide scoile nó a gculaith spóirt a chaitheamh ach le haghaidh gníomhaíochtaí a bhaineann leis an scoil. Ba chóir éide nó culaith spóirt a bhaint díreach tar éis don pháiste teacht abhaile ón scoil don lá. Níor chóir iad a chaitheamh in áiseanna iarscoile, siopaí, le linn gníomhaíochtaí iarscoile, srl.
There is no guidance or advice to say that school uniforms or tracksuits should be washed every day and this is probably not practical for most families. We suggest that they be worn on alternate days to allow for more frequent cleaning if desired. In any event, PE will be weather dependant as we will not be using the HALLA for the foreseeable future. As a school we strongly advise that children should wear their school uniforms or tracksuits only for school related activities. Uniforms or tracksuits should be taken off straight after the child arrives home from school for the day. They should not be worn in after-school facilities, shops, during after-school activities, etc.
MÁLAÍ SCOILE AGUS LÓNTA – SCHOOLBAGS AND LUNCHES
Níor thug an rialtas aon treoirlínte maidir leis na míreanna seo ach ba cheart cur chuige ciallmhar a leanúint. Déan cinnte nach bhfuil aon earraí neamhriachtanacha cosúil le bréagáin ina m(h)ála scoile ag do pháiste. Roghnaigh boscaí lóin, buidéil agus cásanna peann luaidhe atá furasta a ghlanadh, mar caithfear iad a ghlanadh go minic. Tá sé beartaithe againn go mbeidh a mbosca stórála cumhdaithe aonair féin (arna sholáthar ag an scoil) ag gach páiste le haghaidh leabhair scoile, cóipeanna agus stáiseanóireacht (pinn, pinn luaidhe, dathanna srl.) agus a fhanfaidh ar scoil (beidh an dara tacar de dhíth ort sa bhaile , mar sin) Tá sé tábhachtach go mbeadh an stáiseanóireacht go léir a theastaíonn uathu ag do pháiste mar ní bheidh siad in ann a roinnt lena gcomhdhaltaí ranga. Tá nósanna imeachta obair bhaile le tabhairt chun críche fós.
The government have not given any guidelines regarding these items but a common-sense approach should be followed. Ensure that your child does not have any unnecessary items such as toys in their schoolbag. Choose lunchboxes, bottles and pencil cases that are easy to clean, as they will need to be cleaned frequently. We intend that each child will have their own individual covered storage box (provided by the school) for school books, copies and stationery (pens, pencils, colours etc.) and which will remain in school (you will need a second set for home, therefore) It is important that your child has all the stationery that they need as they will not be able to share with their classmates. Homework procedures are yet to be finalised.
LEABHARLIOSTAÍ – LEABHAIR AR CHÍOS / BOOKLISTS – SCHOOL BOOK RENTAL SCHEME
Rachaidh eolas iomlán faoin leabharliosta amach i rith na seachtaine seo chugainn.
Full information on the booklist for your child(ren) will be sent out next week
ULLMHÚ AGUS SLÁINTEACHAS LÁIMHE- PREPARING & HAND HYGIENE
Cuirfidh múinteoirí páistí ar an eolas faoi na nósanna imeachta sláinteachais cearta maidir le níochán láimhe agus béasaíocht a bhaineann le sraothartach, casacht nó seile a chaitheamh. Bheimis an-bhuíoch dá bhféadfá béim a leagan ar iompar sábháilte ina leith seo maidir le do páistí sa bhaile mar chuid den ullmhúchán chun filleadh ar scoil. Cleachtaigh lámha a ní i gceart, le gallúnach, ar feadh 20 soicind. Déan cinnte go bhfuil a fhios ag do pháiste freisin conas a lámha a thriomú go críochnúil. Ba chóir go mbeadh a fhios ag páistí freisin conas sláintitheoir láimhe a úsáid i gceart, agus nár cheart é a ionghabháil. Múin casacht cheart agus sraothartach do do pháiste. Déan casacht nó sraothartach isteach i bhfíochán, nó isteach i do uillinn mura bhfuil fíochán agat. Cuir an fíochán sa bhosca bruscair agus nigh nó sláintigh do lámha. Déan cinnte gur féidir le do pháiste a bhosca lóin agus a mbuidéil, a gcóta agus a mbróga a oscailt agus a dhúnadh go neamhspleách. Ní mholtar bróga le lásaí do páistí an-óg.
Déanfaidh páistí sláinteachas láimhe go rialta i rith an lae scoile:
• ar theacht ar scoil dóibh
• roimh ithe nó ól
• tar éis an leithreas a úsáid
• tar éis casacht nó sraothartach
• tar éis imirt amuigh faoin aer
• nuair a bhíonn na lámha salach go fisiciúil.
Suiteálfar dáileoirí sláintíochta láimhe ar fud na scoile. Ní cheanglaítear ar páistí sláintíocht láimhe nó aon táirgí sláinteachais láimhe eile a sholáthar ach féadfaidh siad é sin a dhéanamh ar choinníoll nach roinntear iad agus go bhfanann siad i mbosca an pháiste ar scoil.
Teachers will make children aware of the proper hygiene procedures regarding hand washing and etiquette related to sneezing, coughing or spitting. We would be grateful if you could also emphasise safe behaviour in this regard to your children at home as part of the preparation for returning to school. Practice washing hands properly, with soap, for 20 seconds. Make sure that your child also knows how to dry their hands thoroughly. Children should also know how to use hand-sanitizer correctly, and that it should not be ingested. Teach your child correct cough and sneeze etiquette. Cough or sneeze into a tissue, or into your elbow if you do not have a tissue. Put the tissue in the bin and wash or sanitize your hands. Make sure that your child can INDEPENDENTLY open and close their lunchbox and bottle, their coat, and their shoes. Shoes with laces are not recommended for younger children!
Children will perform hand hygiene regularly during the school day:
o on arrival at school
o before eating or drinking
o after using the toilet
o after a cough or sneeze
o after playing outdoors
o when hands are physically dirty
Hand sanitizer dispensers will be installed throughout the school. Children are not required to supply hand sanitizer or any other hand hygiene products but may do so providing they are not shared and remain in the child’s box at school.
SCARADH FISICIÚIL- PHYSICAL DISTANCING
Deirtear sna treoirlínte nach gceanglaítear ar pháistí ó Naíonáin Shóisearacha go Rang 2 a bheith scartha go fisiciúil. Bítear ag súil go gcoinneoidh páistí ó rang 3ú-6ú achar 1m óna chéile nuair is féidir. Eagrófar na seomraí dá réir. Táimid ag obair faoi láthair ar uasghrádú a dhéanamh ar ár nósanna imeachta agus ár ngnáthaimh laistigh den scoil chun a chinntiú go bhfuil an oiread scaradh fisiciúil agus is féidir inár bhfoirgneamh. Cuirfimid scaradh fisiceach i bhfeidhm ar bhealach praiticiúil agus ciallmhar, ag aithint nach féidir fócas a d’fhéadfadh a bheith friththáirgiúil ar an gceist seo a bheith faoi smacht ag an timpeallacht foghlama. Déanfaidh baill foirne iarracht achar fisiceach a choinneáil ó páistí nuair is féidir leo, agus caithfidh siad clúdaigh aghaidhe agus PPE eile nuair is gá. Táthar ag fanacht le tuilleadh treorach faoi mhascanna aghaidh do páistí.
Bainfear Scaradh Fisiciúil amach ar dhá bhealach: –
Scaradh a Mhéadú. Bainfear é seo amach trí na seomraí ranga a athchumrú chun an fadú fisiceach a uasmhéadú. Tagrófar do gach rang mar mboilgeog agus cinnteoimid go mbeidh an oiread teagmhála agus is féidir idir páistí i mboilgeoga (bubbles) éagsúla. Laistigh de na boilgeoga, eagrófar páistí ina pods (neadacha). Is éard atá i nead ná grúpa páistí (4-6) a shuífidh le chéile agus a fhanfaidh ina nead agus iad sa mboilgeog, nó sa seomra ranga. Fanfaidh siad sa nead céanna ar feadh roinnt seachtainí.
Idirghníomhaíocht a Laghdú. Bainfear é seo amach trí laghdú a dhéanamh ar an gcumas atá ag páistí ó bhoilgeoga éagsúla idirghníomhú. Beidh rochtain dhifriúil ag sos na maidine agus ag am lóin ar an gclós súgartha. Déanfaimid gníomhaíochtaí taitneamhach do na sosanna seo, ag cur béime ar shábháilteacht i gcónaí.
‘Boilgeog’ a bheidh i ngach rang. Beidh an teagmháil idir boilgeoga an-teoranta agus beidh am sosa tuislithe. Is féidir ranganna a roinnt ina ngrúpaí, nó ‘neadacha’.
The guidelines state that children from Junior Infants to 2nd Class are not required to physical distance. Children from 3rd-6th class are expected to keep a distance of 1m where possible. Rooms will be configured accordingly. We are currently working on upgrading our procedures and routines within the school to ensure that there is as much Physical Distancing as is possible in our building. We will apply physical distancing in a practical and sensible way, recognising that the learning environment cannot be dominated by a potentially counterproductive focus on this issue. Staff will try to maintain physical distance from children when they can, and will wear face coverings and other PPE when needed. Further guidance on facemasks for children is awaited.
Physical Distancing will be achieved in two ways: –
Increasing Separation. This will be achieved by re-configuring the classrooms to maximise physical distancing. Each class will be referred to as a bubble and we will ensure that there is as little contact as possible between children in different bubbles. Within the bubbles, children will be organised into pods (neadacha). A pod is a group of children (4-6) who will sit together and who will stay in their pod while in the bubble, or classroom. They will stay in the same pod for a number of weeks.
Decreasing Interaction. This will be achieved by decreasing the potential for children from different bubbles to interact. Bubbles will have different mid-morning and lunch-time access to the playground. We will make these routines enjoyable activities for the children, emphasising safety at all times.
Each class will be a ‘Bubble’. Contact between bubbles will be extremely limited and break times will be staggered. Classes may be divided into groups, or ‘Pods’.
FÁGÁIL AGUS BAILIÚ- DROP-OFF AND COLLECTION
Ní mór do scoileanna “idirghníomhaíocht a theorannú ar theacht agus imeacht ón scoil.” Táimid ag obair ar phlean chun an riachtanas seo a chur i bhfeidhm lena n-áireofar amanna fágála agus bailiúcháin tuislithe, srianta carrchlóis agus pointí bailiúcháin atá scargtha go sóisialta. Spreagfar siúl nó rothaíocht ar scoil agus beidh bac ar charranna sa charrchlós. Tuilleadh sonraí níos déanaí.
Schools must “limit interaction on arrival and departure from school.” We are working on a plan to implement this requirement which will include staggered drop-off and collection times, carpark restrictions and socially-distanced collection points. The main features will be an encouragement to walk or cycle to school and for cars not to enter the carpark. More details later.
GLANADH- CLEANING
Méadófar an glanadh go mór. Tugadh buiséad do scoileanna le haghaidh na n-ábhar breise glantacháin agus glantacháin a theastaíonn. Glanfar gach seomra ranga go críochnúil gach lá le glanadh eile i rith an lae scoile. Cuirfear acmhainní ar fáil do páistí ina n-aonar nuair is féidir, nó roinnfear iad lena ‘nead. Glanfar acmhainní a roinntear idir ranganna idir úsáid. Glanfar leabhair, bréagáin agus acmhainní go rialta nó coraintín ar feadh 72 uair sula n-athúsáidfear iad. B’fhéidir go n-iarrfaí ar páistí níos sine a mbord agus a gcathaoir a ghlanadh ag deireadh an lae.
Cleaning will be increased considerably. Schools have been given a budget for the extra cleaning and cleaning materials required. Each classroom will be cleaned thoroughly daily and other cleaning throughout the school day. Resources will be provided for children individually where possible, or shared with their ‘pod’. Resources that are shared between classes will be cleaned between use. Books, toys and resources will be cleaned regularly or quarantined for 72 hours before being reused. Older children may be asked to wipe down their table and chair at the end of the day.
CUMARSÁID LE MÚINTEOIRÍ- COMMUNICATION WITH TEACHERS
Ní cheadófar do thuismitheoirí dul isteach i bhfoirgneamh na scoile ach féadfar coinní a dhéanamh chun cuairt a thabhairt ar an scoil ar fáthanna riachtanacha. Caithfear loga rianaithe teagmhála a líonadh isteach le haghaidh gach cuairte. ·Ní chiallaíonn sé seo nach mbeidh tú in ann cumarsáid a dhéanamh le múinteoir do pháiste. Is féidir leat cumarsáid a dhéanamh leo trí na modhanna traidisiúnta mar nóta, glaonna teileafóin srl. Beidh modhanna cumarsáide leictreonacha breise againn freisin mar ríomhphost, Aladdin Connect, srl.
Parents will not be permitted to enter the school building but appointments may be made to visit the school for essential purposes. A contact tracing log will need to be filled out for each visit. This does not mean that you will be unable to communicate with your child’s teacher. You can communicate with them via the traditional methods such as notes, phone calls etc. We will also have additional electronic means of communication such as email, Aladdin Connect, etc.
MÚINTEOIR AS LÁTHAIR- TEACHER ABSENCES
Chuir INTO brú ar an Roinn Oideachais ar cheist múinteoirí ionaid. Tá painéal soláthair de mhúinteoirí ionaid á mbunú chun líon na nionadaithe a mhéadú. Mura bhfuil an scoil in ann múinteoir ionaid a fháil, féadfaidh an scoil múinteoir neamh-phríomhshrutha a úsáid chun an neamhláithreacht a chlúdach. (Cuimsíonn sé seo Múinteoirí Oideachais Speisialta agus an Príomhoide). Déanfar gach iarracht rang a roinnt idir ranganna eile.
The Irish National Teachers’ Organisation have put pressure on the Department of Education on the issue of substitute teachers. Supply panel clusters of substitute teachers are being set up to increase substitute availability. If the school is unable to secure a substitute teacher, the school may use a non-mainstream teacher to cover the absence. (This includes Special Education Teachers and the Principal). Every effort will be made to avoid a class being split between other classes.
NAÍONÁIN NUA- STARTING JUNIOR INFANTS
Ar an drochuair, ní cheadófar do thuismitheoirí dul isteach i bhfoirgneamh na scoile lena pháiste ar an gcéad lá den scoil (nó ar laethanta ina dhiaidh sin). Eagróimid cuairt ghearr ar an scoil trí choinne, nó físeán nó turas fíorúil timpeall na scoile roimh an gcéad lá. Tá sé beartaithe againn freisin na Naíonáin Shóisearacha a thosú beagán níos déanaí ná na daltaí eile ar an gcéad mhaidin chun spás a cheadú chun an lá speisialta seo a cheiliúradh. Bí cinnte go ndéanfaidh M\uinteoir Yvonne agus foireann eile na scoile a ndícheall chun a chinntiú go mbraitheann gach duine sona agus sábháilte ar scoil. Tá go leor doiciméadaithe ar na buntáistí a bhaineann le súgradh, agus tá múinteoirí naíonán an-eolach air seo. Caithfear go leor ama ag imirt agus ag éisteacht le scéalta. Is é folláine na páistí an tosaíocht is mó sa chéad chúpla mí ar scoil.
Unfortunately, parents will not be permitted to enter the school building with their child on the first day of school (or on subsequent days). We will organize for either a short visit to school by appointment, or a video or virtual tour of the school before the first day. We also intend to start the Junior Infants a little later than the other pupils on the first morning to allow for space to mark this special day. Rest assured, Múinteoir Yvonne and other school staff will do their best to make sure that every feels happy and safe at school. The benefits of play are well-documented, and infant teachers are very aware of this. Lots of time will be spent playing and listening to stories. The number one priority for the first few months of school will be the children’s well-being.
PÁISTÍ LE RIACHTANAIS BREISE – CHILDREN WITH ADDITIONAL NEEDS
Cinnteoidh an Fhoireann Oideachais Speisialta sa scoil go ndéantar freastal ar riachtanais do pháiste chomh maith agus is féidir. D’fhéadfadh sé go n-iarrfaí ar mhúinteoirí clúdach a dhéanamh do mhúinteoirí príomhshrutha i gcás a n-éagmais agus mura bhfuil múinteoir ionaid ar fáil. D’fhéadfadh go gciallódh sé seo go bhféadfadh tacaíocht laghdaithe a bheith ag do pháiste uaireanta, ach beidh deis ag an scoil an tacaíocht a mhéadú nuair a bheidh múinteoir ionaid ar fáil. Má tá imní ar do pháiste, nó mura bhfreagraíonn siad go maith d’athrú, is dóichí go gcloisfidh tú ó scoil do pháiste sula n-athosclófar é. Féadfaidh siad turas fíorúil a sholáthar timpeall na scoile nó scéal sóisialta a úsáid. Má tá imní nó ceisteanna ort, seol ríomhphost chuig an scoil. Is fearr é a dhéanamh anois seachas sa chéad seachtain ar ais – tabharfaidh sé seans níos fearr dóibh freagairt agus ullmhú chuige más gá.
The Special Education Team in your child’s school will make sure that your child’s needs are catered for to the best of their ability. Special Education Teachers may be required to cover for mainstream teachers in the case of their absence and a substitute teacher is not available. This may mean that your child may have reduced support at times, but the school will have the opportunity to increase support when a substitute teacher becomes available. If you child suffers from anxiety, or does not respond well to change, will most likely hear from your child’s school in advance of reopening. They may provide a virtual tour of the school or a social story. If you have concerns or questions, email the school within the next week or two. Doing it now rather than in the first week back will give them a better chance to respond and prepare where necessary.
DALTAÍ ARD-RIOSCA- HIGH-RISK PUPILS
B’fhéidir nach mbeidh daltaí atá i mbaol mór in ann filleadh ar scoil. Gheobhaidh na daltaí seo tacaíocht chuí chun dul i ngleic leis an bhfoghlaim. Áiritheofar nasc leanúnach leis na daltaí ranga agus le pobal na scoile.
Cuimsíonn liosta na ndaoine i ngrúpaí ardriosca daoine:
Áirítear le daoine atá sna grúpaí a bhfuil riosca an-ard ag baint leo:
• daoine atá thar 70 bliain d’aois – fiú má tá siad i mbarr a sláinte
• daoine ar aistríodh orgán dá gcuid
• daoine a bhfuil ceimiteiripe á cur orthu le haghaidh ailse
• daoine a bhfuil radaiteiripe á cur orthu le haghaidh ailse scamhóg
• daoine a bhfuil ailse fola nó ailse smeara orthu mar leoicéime, linfóma nó mialóma is cuma cén chóireáil atá á déanamh orthu
• daoine atá ag fáil imdhíteiripe nó cóireálacha leanúnacha antashubstaintí eile le haghaidh ailse
• daoine atá ag fáil cóireálacha ailse spriocdhírithe eile a d’fhéadfadh dul i bhfeidhm ar an gcóras imdhíonachta, mar choscóirí próitéine cionáise nó coscairí PARP
• daoine a fuair trasphlandú smeara nó gascheall le 6 mhí anuas, nó atá fós ag glacadh drugaí frith-imdhíonachta

• daoine a bhfuil riocht orthu a chiallaíonn go bhfuil riosca an-ard acu ionfhabhtuithe a fháil (mar shampla SCID, corráncheall homaisigeach)
• daoine atá ag ag glacadh cógais a fhágann go bhfuil seans níos mó ann go dtiocfaidh ionfhabhtuithe orthu(mar shampla dáileoga arda stéaróidigh nó teiripí imdhíon-imdhíonachta)
• daoine a bhfuil riocht croí tromchúiseach orthu agus atá ag iompar clainne
Pupils at high risk may not be able to return to school. These pupils will receive appropriate support to engage with learning. Ongoing connection with the classmates and school community will be ensured.
The list of people in very high risk groups includes people who:
• are over 70 years of age – even if fit and well
• have had an organ transplant
• are undergoing active chemotherapy for cancer

• have severe respiratory conditions including cystic fibrosis, severe asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, lung fibrosis, interstitial lung disease and severe COPD
• have a condition that means they have a very high risk of getting infections (such as SCID, homozygous sickle cell)
• are taking medicine that makes you much more likely to get infections (such as high doses of steroids or immunosuppression therapies)
• have a serious heart condition and are pregnant
CÁSANNA COVID-19- SUSPECTED CASES OF COVID-19
Cé go gcuirfear fáilte roimh gach páiste ar ais ar scoil, chuirfimis i gcuimhne do thuismitheoirí, i gcás go bhfuil slaghdáin, casacht nó comharthaí cosúil leis an bhfliú ar páistí, nár chóir iad a sheoladh chuig an scoil. Beidh páistí a thaispeánann comharthaí den sórt sin ar scoil scoite amach agus iarrfar ar thuismitheoirí iad a bhailiú ón scoil. Níor chóir do páistí a thaistil ó thíortha nach bhfuil ar an Liosta Glas freastal ar scoil le linn na tréimhse féin-aonrúcháin 14 lá.
Comharthaí COVID-19:
• Teocht ard
• Casacht
• Giorracht anála nó análaithe deacrachta
• Boladh nó blas a chailleadh, nó saobhadh blas
Arís, NÍOR chóir do páistí a chur ar scoil má tá siad tinn nó má tá aon bhall dá dteaghlach tinn le hairíonna COVID-19. Má éiríonn aon dalta tinn agus é ar scoil, tabharfar chuig seomra aonrúcháin é.í agus tabharfar masc dó/di le caitheamh. Rachfar i dteagmháil le tuismitheoirí chun an páiste a bhailiú a luaithe is féidir. Cuirfidh an HSE aon tuismitheoirí ar an eolas faoi páistí a tháinig i ndlúth-thadhall le cás a ndearnadh diagnóis air.
While all children will be welcome back to school, we would remind parents that, where children are displaying colds, coughs or flu like symptoms, they should not be sent to school. Children who display such symptoms in school will be isolated and parents asked to collect them from the school. Children who have travelled from countries not on the Green List should not attend school during the 14-day self-isolation period.
Symptoms of COVID-19:
o High temperature
o Cough
o Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing
o Loss of smell or taste, or distortion of taste
Again, children should NOT ATTEND school if they are unwell or if any members of their household are unwell with symptoms of COVID-19. If any pupil becomes unwell while at school, they will be brought to an isolation room and given a mask to wear. Parents will be contacted to collect the child as soon as possible. The HSE will inform any parents of children who have come into close contact with a diagnosed case.
