I MO BHRÓGA/IN MY SHOES
Tá eolas faoin scéim seo curtha abhaile lena páistí inniu. Bheimis buíoch as bhur gcuidiú – BRÓGAÍ SPÓIRT amháin ata i gceist, nite agus ceangailte le chéile.
Fágaigí sa scoil iad faoin AOINE seo chugainn (25ú). Is féidir lena páistí litir ghearr a scríobh ag cur a dtaithí leis an spórt a imríonn siad in iúl.
Information on a unique project being carried out by a Sligo man to help gather old but serviceable pairs of shoes/trainers for children in townships in South Africa has been given to the children (check the bag!) . We feel this is a worthy effort and would appreciate your support. All pairs of shoes MUST be cleaned thoroughly or machine washed where possible, then tied together and left into the school office by next Friday 25th Jan 19. Children who donate are also encouraged to write a short letter to the prospective recipient stating their experiences with sport they play etc.

Le cabhair airgidis ó craobh CCÉ Fred Finn, beidh gach páiste sa scoil ag glacadh páirt i gcláracha cheoil curtha ar fáil ag Music Generation arís i mblaina. Beidh na Náionáin go Rang 2 ag tosú ar an gclár ‘Discovering Music’ i rith na seachtaine seo chugainn. Tá Rang 3 tosaithe ar ranganna ar an bhfliúit Shasanach agus beidh ranganna 4,5 agus 6 ag foghlaim an Ukelele, ag tosú arís i rith na seachtaine seo chugainn. Leanann na ranganna ar feadh 14 seachtainí. Táimid fíorbhuíoch Fred Finn as ucht an deis seo a chur ar fáil dona páistí. Cé go bhfuil urraíocht déanta ar an gcúrsa, níl gach costas clúdaithe; mar sin iarrann muid € 7 in aghaidh an linbh nó € 12 in aghaidh an teaghlaigh chun cuidiú lena costais. Is féidir íocaíocht a dhéanamh ar líne nó a sheoladh isteach i gclúdach litreach chuig oifig na scoile.
With part-funding from the Fred Finn Comhaltas branch, all children in the school will again have the opportunity to participate in music programs provided by Music Generation. Infants to 2nd Class will start on the Discovering Music program next week. Rang 3 have already started RECORDER classes this week and Ranganna 4,5 and 6 will be learning Ukelele, with classes also starting next week. The classes continue for 14 weeks. We are grateful to Fred Finn for providing this opportunity to the children. As this music programme is greatly discounted, but not completely subsidised, we request €7 per child or €12 per family to participate. Payment can be made online or sent in marked “Music Generation” to the school office.
