Cruinnithe Tuistí-Múinteoirí/Parent-Teacher Meetings
Mar is eol daoibh, cuirimid luach mór ar chumarsáid idir tuismitheoirí agus múinteoirí. Ar an drochuair, ní féidir na gnáthshocruithe le haghaidh cruinnithe a chur i bhfeidhm i mbliana mar gheall ar COVID-19. Eiseoimid tuairisc lár na bliana ar dhul chun cinn gach dalta ar Aladdin sna seachtainí amach romhainn. Rachaidh múinteoirí i dteagmháil le tuismitheoirí má tá gnéithe áirithe den tuairisc gur gá plé a dheanamh orthu (mura bhfuil seo déanta cheana féin acu). Tá fáilte roimh thuismitheoirí ar mian leo a n-imní féin a phlé nó tuilleadh eolais a lorg glaoch teileafóin a lorg ón mhúinteoir, a dhéanfar chomh luath agus is féidir. Tá nagnáthbhealaí cumarsáide fós ar fáil i rith na bliana ar ndóigh agus níl siad teoranta don tréimhse seo amháin. Go raibh maith agaibh as bhur dtuiscint agus bhur gcomhoibriú.
As you know, we place great value on communication between parents and teachers. Unfortunately, the usual arrangements for face-to-face meetings cannot apply this year due to COVID-19. We will issue mid-year progress report for all pupils on Aladdin in the coming weeks. Teachers will contact parents if there are certain aspects of the report that need to be discussed (if not already done before now). Parents who wish to discuss their own concerns or seek further information are welcome to request a phone call from the teacher which we will return as soon as is practicable. Normal channels of communication are of course available throughout the year and not confined to this period only. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
SEESAW
Tá dá leagan den app SeeSaw, ceann don pháiste agus ceann do thuismitheoirí (clann). Nuair a luaitear clann, ‘sé an app céanna a bhíonn i gceist do thusimitheoirí le páiste amháin sa scoil agus molaimid do gach éinne é a úsáid. Is bealach an-úsáideach é dialann do pháiste a sheiceáil gan dul tríd a c(h)untas.
There are two versions of the SeeSaw app, one for pupils and one for parents (families). When a ‘family’ app is mentioned, it is the same app for use by parents with one child in the school and we recommend that everyone uses it. It is a very useful way to check your child’s journal without having to go through the child’s account.
CÁRTAÍ NOLLAIG/CHRISTMAS CARDS
Tá sé i gceist againn Cártaí Nollaig a dhíol i mbliana mar mhodh tiomsú airigid do fhearais ICT scoile, ar mhaithe leis na cláracha nua digiteacha don litriú agus léitheoireacht. Is cosúil go bhfuil i gceist ag daoine níos mó úsáid a bhaint as cártaí i mbliana, mar sin iarrfaimid oraibh cinn na scoile a cheannach nuair a bhíonn siad ar fáil. Tuilleadh faoi seo go luath……..
We plan to sell Christmas Cards this year as a fundraiser for school ICT equipment to enhance the provision of digital Spelling and Reading programmes. People seem to be planning to use Christmas cards more than normal this year, so we urge you to buy the school cards when they become available. More on this soon …… ..

Má tá suim ag éinne iad a cheannach cuir isteach an t-airgead (€4) roimh an Aoine 27ú Samhain; cuir “ANNUAL” ar an gclúdach le do thoil. Ní féidir aon orduithe a ghlacadh tar éis an dáta seo! Dáilfear na leabhair ón Luan 14 Nollaig ar aghaidh.
If you are interested in purchasing the Christmas Annual this year, please send money (€4) into the school before Friday 27th November, to facilitate orders, and put “ANNUAL” on the envelope please. NB: No orders will be taken after this date! Annuals will be distributed from Monday 14th December.
