N.B. CRUINNIÚ FOIRNE/ STAFF MEETING 2/9/2022
Osclóidh an scoil ar an gCéadoin seo chugain agus abhair faoi deara go mbeidh an scoil ag dúnadh ag 12.00 ar an Aoine 2ú Meán Fómhair le haghaidh Cruinniú Foirne.

School re-opens next Wednesday – please note that the school will close at 12pm on Friday of that week, 2nd September, for a staff meeting.

AG TEACHT AGUS AG FÁGÁIL NA SCOILE/COMING TO AND LEAVING THE SCHOOL
Osclóidh an scoil ag 8.40 gach lá, ag dúnadh ar 2.20. Ba chóir do pháistí teacht ar scoil idir 8.40 agus 8.50 gach maidin. Ar mhaithe le hárachas, ní cheadaítear do leanaí dul isteach ar thailte na scoile roimh 8.40r.n. Molaimid go láidir do pháistí siúl nó rothaíocht chuig agus ón scoil.

Tabhair faoi deara iad seo a leanas maidir le carrchlós na scoile. Tá na srianta seo i bhfeidhm ar mhaithe le Sláinte & Sábháilteacht agus iarraimid bhur gcomhoibriú iomlán:
•    Ní bheidh aon pháirceáil sa charrchlós, ach amháin don fhoireann. Baineann sé seo freisin le bailiúcháin ag 1.20 (Naíonáin)
•    Tá áit ‘fágála’ ainmnithe ar aghaidh na scoile. Níl aon pháirceáil ceadaithe sa limistéar seo.
•    Tá áit ainmnithe do bhusanna agus do bhailiúcháin ag cosán na scoile. Ní ceadaítear páirceáil sa limistéar seo ag am ar bith.
•    Tá páirceáil ar fáil ar chúl na páirce peile más gá. Is féidir leanaí a thagann i gcarr a fhágáil go dtí an geata in aice leis na céimeanna agus leanfaidh siad an cosán chun rochtain a fháil ar thailte na scoile ag an tollán. Tabhair faoi deara, le do thoil, nár cheart do dhaoine fásta atá i dteannta leanaí dul thar limistéar an tolláin.
•    Téann na páistí díreach chuig a seomra ranga gach maidin. Ní bheidh aon línte nó bailiúcháin ar chlós. Bainfidh páistí ó Naíonáin Shóisir (Múinteoir Yvonne) úsáid as an bpríomhdhoras tosaigh. Bainfidh páistí ó Naíonáin Shinsir (Rang Jade) úsáid as doras Naomh Muire. Téann leanaí i seomraí réamhdhéanta díreach chuig a gcuid féin.
•    Ba cheart do dhaoine fásta, atá ag bailiú leanaí ón scoil ag deireadh an lae (1.20 AGUS 2.20), fanacht ar na céimeanna in aice le príomhpháirc Naomh Mhuire (páircéail ar chúl na páirce peile). NÍ FÉIDIR leanaí a bhailiú ó AON CHUID den charrchlós.

Iarraimid ar gach tuismitheoir eolas a chur ar na gnáthaimh fágála agus bailithe chun daltaí a sheachadadh agus a bhailiú go sábháilte ón scoil. GRMA!

The school will open at 8.40 each day, closing at 2.20. Children should arrive at school between 8.40 and 8.50 each morning. For insurance purposes, children are not permitted onto school grounds before 8.40am. We strongly encourage children to walk or cycle to and from school.

Please note the following in relation to the school car park. These arrangements are in place in the interest of Health & Safety and we ask for your full co-operation:
•    There will be no parking in the carpark, except for staff. This also applies to collections at 1.20 (Infants)
•    There is a designated ‘drop and go’ area at the front of the school. Strictly no parking is allowed in this area.
•    There is a designated bus drop and collection area at the school footpath. Strictly no parking is allowed in this area at any time.
•    Parking if required is at the rear of the pitch. Children arriving by car may be left to the gate adjacent to the viewing steps and will follow the footpath to access school grounds at the tunnel. Please note that adults accompanying children should not go beyond the tunnel area.
•    Children go straight to their class room every morning. There will be no línte or congregating on yard. Children from Naíonáin Shóisir (Múinteoir Yvonne) will use the main front door. Children from Naíonáin Shinsir (Rang Jade) will use the entrance door of St Mary’s. Children in prefabs go straight to their prefab.
•    Adults, who are collecting children from school at the end of the day (1.20 AND 2.20), should wait on the steps beside St. Mary’s main pitch (Parking again behind the main pitch). Children CANNOT be collected from ANY PART of the carpark area.

We would ask all parents to familiarise themselves with the drop-off and collection routines for the safe delivery and collection of pupils from school. GRMA!!

CABHAIR AG TEASTÁIL/HELP REQUIRED
Táimid ag lorg roinnt tuismitheoirí  chun an taobh amuigh den scoil a ghlanadh roimh thús na scoilbhliana nua ANOCHT Aoine (26/8) ó 6.30-8 i.n. Ní neart go cur le chéile!

We would appreciate it if a number of parents would be willing to lend a hand at a clean-up of the school grounds tonight, FRIDAY August 24th, from 6.30 – 8 p.m. The main tasks to cover will be (a) moving furniture (b) rubbish collection and (c) weeding/trimming hedges etc. Many hands make light work!

N.B.!! – Ailléirge Cnó – Nut Allergy
Féach an nóta tábhachtach./Please read this note carefully.
Tá roinnt páistí óga sa scoil atá ailéirgeach le cnónna le bagairt frithghníomh ailléirgeach géar. Ós rud é gur féidir le seo bheith baolach don bheatha, iarraimid bhur gcabhair an riosca a íoslaghdú dona páistí trí:
•    gan cnónna a bheith ag do pháiste don lón,
•    gan Nutella (leathadh seacláide déanta le cnónna coill) ná im piseanna talún a úsaid,
•    gan sneaiceanna / barraí ina bhfuil cnónna nó a lipéadaítear ” rianta cnó” a bheith i lónta scoile, agus
•    gan lón a roinnt.
Toisc déine na faidhbe, tá sé tábhachtach go gcuirfidh gach tuismitheoir i gcrích na bearta molta agus an baol frithghníomhú ailléirgeach a laghdú dona páistí seo. Tá polasaí lóin sláintiúil i bhfeidhm i nGaelscoil Chnoc na Ré agus ar an gcúis sin iarraimid oraibh gan milseáin, criospaí, deochanna súilíneacha, borróga, muifíní, císte, iógairt seacláide ná barraí arbhair a thabhairt don lón ach oiread. Gabhaimid buíochas leat as bhur gcomhoibriú.

Please note that a number of children in the school have a severe allergic reaction to peanuts/nuts. This allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) can occur through ingestion of peanut/nut products, cross contamination and breathing peanuts in the air. Since this condition can be life threatening, we are asking for your help in minimising the risk to these children by:
•    Avoiding giving children peanuts in school lunches
•    Avoiding giving peanut butter sandwiches, as well as other spreads containing nuts such as Nutella
•    Avoiding giving snacks/bars containing nuts or labelled “may contain nut traces” in school lunches
•    Asking children not to share their lunches.
Due to the severity of the problem, it is important that all parents carry out the suggested measures and reduce the risk of allergic reaction to these children. We have a healthy eating policy in Gaelscoil Chnoc na Ré and for that reason we ask that sweets, crisps, fizzy drinks, buns, muffins, slices of cake, chocolate yogurts or cereal bars NOT be given for lunch. We thank you for your co-operation.
