Leanann an scéim seo ar aghaidh, ó na Naíonáin go Rang a 6, chun feabhas a chur ar Ghaeilge mar teanga chumarsáide sa scoil. Cuireadh cártaí nua abhaile lena páistí inné. Má chloiseann tú do pháiste ag labhairt Gaeilge sa bhaile, seol ceann de na cartaí isteach ar scoil. Tá na cártaí seo ag gach múinteoir sa scoil. Táimid ag mealladh na páistí sár-iarracht a dhéanamh maidir le Gaeilge a labhairt timpeall na scoile.
This new scheme continues, from Naíonáin to Rang 6, so as to improve the use of Gaeilge as the language of communication in the school. More Irish language cards were sent home with the children yesterday.. If you hear your child speaking Irish at home, send one of the cards into school. All teachers in the school have these cards. We are encouraging the children to make every effort to speak Irish around the school.
CRUINNIÚ CAIRDE/CAIRDE MEETING
Beidh an chéad chruinniú eile Cairde ar siúl ANOCHT, Máirt 28 Eanáir, ar a hocht a chlog sa scoil.
The next Cairde meeting will take place tonight, Tuesday 28th January at 8pm in the school.

LÁ OSCAILTE & CLÁRÚCHÁIN /OPEN DAY & ENROLMENT 2020
Beidh Lá Oscailte & Clárúcháin sa scoil um thráthnóna ar an Satharn 8ú Feabhra ó 1:30 – 3:00. Má tá aithne agat ar éinne go bhfuil suim acu a bpáiste a chlárú, abair leo teacht ansin nó glaoch a chur ar an scoil. Freisin, déan cinnte go bhfuil do fhoirmeacha líonta amach agus curtha ar ais chuig oifig na scoile má tá páiste(í) agat le clárú i 2021, 2022, 2023 nó 2024. Tabhair faoi deara nach do naíonáin nua amháin an clárúcháin agus go nglactar le páistí i ranganna eile freisin.
Enrolment and Open Day for the school will take place on Saturday 8th February from 1.30 – 3.00p.m. for parents and their children who wish to enrol in the Gaelscoil for the coming years. If you know of anyone interested in enrolling their child please ask them to come along or contact the school, as lists are increasing rapidly. Also, can you please ensure that you have completed and returned to the office your own form if YOU have a child/children to be enrolled in the years 2021, 2022, 2023 or 2024. Forms are available in office. Please note, that enrolment is not just for junior infants and that the school has limited spaces in the older classes too if anyone is interested.
I MO BHRÓGA/IN MY SHOES

Fágaigí sa scoil iad faoin AOINE seo chugainn (7/2/2020). Is féidir lena páistí litir ghearr a scríobh ag cur a dtaithí leis an spórt a imríonn siad in iúl.
Information on a unique project being carried out by a Sligo man to help gather old but serviceable pairs of shoes/trainers for children in townships in South Africa has been given to the children (check the bag!) . We feel this is a worthy effort and would appreciate your support. All pairs of shoes MUST be cleaned thoroughly or machine washed where possible, then tied together and left into the school office by next FRIDAY 7th Feb. 2020. Children who donate are also encouraged to write a short letter to the prospective recipient stating their experiences with sport they play.
