Beidh Laethanta Oscailte & Clárúcháin sa scoil um thráthnóna ar an Aoine 12 Feabhra agus an Satharn 13 ó 1:30 – 3:00. Má tá aithne agat ar éinne go bhfuil suim acu a bpáiste a chlárú, abair leo teacht ansin nó glaoch a chur ar an scoil. Freisin, déan cinnte go bhfuil do fhoirmeacha líonta amach agus curtha ar ais chuig oifig na scoile má tá páiste(í) agat le clárú i 2016/2017/2018/2019 nó 2020. Tabhair faoi deara nach do naíonáin nua amháin an clárúcháin agus go nglactar le páistí i ranganna eile freisin.
Enrolment and Open Days for the school will take place on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th February from 1.30 – 3.00 p.m. for parents and their children who wish to enrol in the Gaelscoil for the coming years. If you know anyone interested in enrolling their child please ask them to come along or contact the school, as lists are increasing rapidly. Also, can you please ensure that you have completed and returned to the office your own form if YOU have a child/children to be enrolled in the years 2016/2017/2018/2019 & 2020. Forms are available in office. Please note, that enrolment is not just for junior infants and that the school has limited spaces in the older classes too if anyone is interested.
LABHAIRT NA GAEILGE
Beidh Seachtain na Gaeilge ar siúl i mbliana ón 1ú Marta go 17ú Marta. Beidh imeachtaí speisialta ar siúl do na páistí sa scoil. Tuilleadh ar ball.
Ta an-bhéim sa scoil faoi láthair maidir lena páistí a spregadh chun a gcuid Gaeilge labhartha a fheabhsú. Tacaigí leo! Ma theastaíonn uait do chuid Gaeilge labhartha a chleachtadh, bain triail as na grúpaí comhrá seo a leanas:
“Seachtain na Gaeilge”/“Irish Language Week” will take place from 1st to 17th March this year. There will be special activities in the school for the children. More info later.
We are placing great emphasis on improving the children’s spoken Irish at present. Please support them! If you’d like a chance to improve your spoken Irish, there are three informal conversation groups that meet in Sligo weekly:
Dé Céadaoin / Wednesday: 11.00 am – 1.30 pm Costa Cafe, Johnston Court
Dé hAoine / Friday: 5.00 – 7.30 pm Ósta Cafe
Dé Satharn / Saturday: 11.00 am Vintage Cafe, Branley’s Yard, Rathcormac

Beidh an scoil dúnta ar feadh da lá 18ú-19ú Feabhra don bhriseadh lár téarma.
School will be closed two days 18th – 19th February, for the mid-term break.

FEIS SHLIGIGH & FEIS CEOIL 2016
Táimid ag tabhairt cuireadh do gach páiste sa scoil páirt a ghlacadh i gcomórtais filíochta, amhránaíochta agus comhrá i nGaeilge. Má tá suim agat do pháiste a chlarú le haghaidh Feis Ceoil nó Feis Shligigh, líon isteach an fhoirm iontrála atá iniata leis seo agus seol an t-airgead ceart chuig an scoil i gclúdach litreach, le “Feis Ceoil” nó “Feis Slighigh” scríofa air roimh an Mháirt 2ú Feabhra. Is gá clúdach faoi leith a chur isteach don dá fheis.
We are inviting all children to take part in competitions through Irish in our local Feiseanna; saying a poem, singing a song or just conversational Irish. If you would like to enrol your child for either/both feiseanna please return the completed application form(s) with the appropriate fee to the school marking the envelope : “Feis Ceoil” OR “Feis Shligigh” as appropriate”.

Irish Language competitions take place on Tuesday 29th March 2016 in the Model. For ART competition, entries must be at the MCR Hall, Mail Coach Road, on Friday Feb. 12th (see form). Please Note: last entry will be accepted through the school on Tuesday 2nd Feb. No entries will be accepted after this date through the school. However, entries will be accepted up to the 12th February via organizers of feis. Contact details on form.

Beidh comórtais Feis Shligigh ar siúl ar an 18ú & 19ú Mí Márta 2016. NB: An lá deireanach iontrála tríd an scoil ná an Mháirt 2ú Feabhra.
Irish Language competitions take place on Friday 18th & Saturday 19th March, 2016 at The Model, The Mall, Sligo. For all other categories, see online. Please Note: last entry will be accepted for this feis on Tuesday 2nd Feb. No entries will be accepted through the school after this date. However, entries will be accepted up to Friday 5th February via organizers of feis. Contact details on form.
