Tá tréimhse ceithre bliana Bord Bainistíochta ag críochnú ar an 30/11/2019 Beidh Bord Bainistíochta nua ainmnithe do Ghaelscoil Chnoc na Ré mar a ordaítear ag An Roinn Oideachais & Scileanna agus ag ár bpatrún An Foras Pátrúnachta na Scoileanna Lán Ghaeilge. Tá tuilleadh eolais faoi seo ar fáil anseo.
Beidh ochtar ar an mBord, beirt ainmnithe ag an bPátrún, beirt ón bhfoireann- an príomhoide agus múinteoir eile, beirt tuismitheoir tofa agus beirt roghnaithe ón bpobal (roghnaíonn ionadaí an phatrúin, na múinteoirí agus na tuismitheoirí ar an mBord an beirt seo). Braitheann dul chun cinn agus rath gach Bord Bainistíochta ar dhílseacht agus ar chomhoibriú na mball. Tá sé fíorthábhachtach go mbíonn tuiscint agus tiomantas ag daoine atá ainmnithe d’éiteas na Gaelscoile agus go mbeidh siad sásta oibriú go fadtéarmach ar son na scoile. Is é An Foras Patrúnachta (www.foras.ie) patrún na scoile seo agus tá sé de dhualgas ar an mBord an scoil a bhainistiú thar ceann an Phátrúin. De réir treor an phátrúin, déanfar obair an Bhoird trí mheán na Gaeilge agus tá seo mínithe sa sliocht thíos ó litir a cuireadh chuig gach scoil atá faoina gcúram: “Ba mhaith leis an bhForas Pátrúnachta a chur in iúl gurbh é polasaí an Fhorais ná go ndéanfar obair an Bhoird trí mheán na Gaeilge agus mar sin go bhfuil sé tábhachtach go mbeadh aon duine a thoghtar ábalta feidhmiú trí mheán na Gaeilge.”
Tá dá áit ann (athair agus máthair) do thuismitheoirí páistí atá ag freastal ar an scoil faoi láthair. Sa chéad dul síos, is gá dom liosta de thuismitheoirí (athair agus/nó máthair) a bhailiú a bheadh spéis acu seasamh don Bhord má ainmnítear iad. Má tá suim agat cur in iúl dom é roimh 5pm ar an gCéadaoin seo chugainn, 23 Deire Fómhair (bom@cnocnare.net). Scaipfear an liosta seo ansin ar na tuismitheoirí ar fad ag lorg ainmniúcháin. Ag dul le gnásanna d’ainmniú agus do thoghadh tuismitheoir(í) do Bhord Bainistíochta, “ba chóir go mbeadh an bheirt thuismitheoirí ó theaghlaigh ar leith agus gan gaol ar bith a bheith acu le comhaltaí eile an Bhoird.”
The four-year term of office for the Board of Management of primary schools ends on 30/11/2019. This school year sees us nominating a new Board of Management to Gaelscoil Chnoc na Ré as required by the Department of Education and Skills and our Patron An Foras Pátrúnachta na Scoileanna Lán Ghaeilge. The Board will consist of 8 members: 2 nominated by the Patron, 2 from the teaching staff – Principal and one other teacher, 2 elected parents and 2 community representatives (selected by the patron, teachers and parent members). The success of any Management Board depends on the commitment and co-operation of its members. It is important that any persons nominated have an understanding and a commitment to the ethos of the Gaelscoil (Irish medium education), and be prepared to work towards long term success. An Foras Pátrúnachta (www.foras.ie) is the school patron body and the the Board manages the school on behalf of the Patron. An Foras’s policy is that the work of the Board is to be carried out through the medium of Irish and this is explained in the following passage from a letter sent to all of its schools: “An Foras Pátrúnachta wishes to inform schools that it is the policy of An Foras that the work of the Board will be done through the medium of Irish and that it is therefore important that anyone elected can operate through the medium of Irish.”
There are two positions for parents (a father and a mother) of children currently attending the school. Firstly, I am required to collect a list of parents (father and/or mother) who would be interested in standing for the Board if nominated. If you are interested please let me know before 5pm on Wednesday next, 23 October (bom@cnocnare.net). This list will then be circulated to all parents seeking nominations. In line with procedures for nomination / election of a parent(s) for appointment by the Patron as parent nominee(s) to the Board “both parents should be from separate families and bear no relationship to any other member of the Board”.
